Provodnikov beat Bradley and so did Pac. Provodnikov was cheated out of a knockdown early in the fight and Bradley’s referee saved him. Bradley went down, then he tried to get up then staggered back against the ropes, only the ropes were holding him. Provodnikov left Bradley on the canvas at the end of the fight. Bradley could hardly talk for two months, slurred his speech, was dizzy, etc. Provodnikov was cheated just like Pac……….Nobody can beat Bradley’s judges and referee…………..Posted October 21, 2013 12:58 am

Nothing. That one slugger beat another one. Alvarado boxed in the last few rounds against rios, but he isnt the type to do it for an entire fight. Bradley made the mistake if trying to slug it out. An outstanding boxer beat ruslan anyday. Not taking anything away from the kid. Hes good at what he does…slug.Posted October 20, 2013 9:18 pm
“That Largo is the true prophet at ESB, not Boxtra.”
Congratulations to Largo for making the right call. But I said this more than a month ago:
Aug. 13: Actually Boxer, Alvarado’s first fight with Rios is what convinced me that Provodnikov is going to stop him.
Aug. 8: te tumbo, I just don’t think Alvarado will be able to withstand Provodnikov’s power. It will definitely be another slugfest because that’s the kind of fight’s Arum likes to promote. Anyways, I think Mike will do well for a while, then Provodnikov will just overwhelm him with his power.
Aug. 1: Ruslan is naturally bigger and stronger than Alvarado. His boxing skills are equal to Alvarado’s. My opinion is that Alvarez will not be able to withstand Provodnikov’s power… Provodnikov by TKO over Alvarado.
But hey, why brag? LOL!Posted October 20, 2013 9:14 pm
PUBLIC E, I already stated my reason. After seeing Ruslan in action with Bradley at 147Lbs it took COJONES to take on the Russian at a compact 140LBs. He didn’t have to take this fight, many wouldn’t have. Not even Bradley himself wants any more of the Russian nor do other top 140/147Lb’ers. No, I don’t believe Bradley is afraid, fighters don’t scare that easily. It’s just not a wise move, especially when he’s being mentioned for a MEGA fight with Floyd. Would you? I bet not. And yes, I respect Rosado, NOT because he was the smaller man vs GGG, but basically because he’s willing to face ANYBODY weather he’s the bigger man or not. Gabe was the bigger man by almost 10Lbs vs Sechew Powell, and I respected Gabe then too, regardless.Posted October 20, 2013 6:45 pm
Would Manny fight Provodnikov or Garcia? Quick 2 call others duckers….Pactards quick jump 2 Mannys defence, like I said a while back its neally over 4 him….not against Rios hes a tailor made punching bag in cement shoes….but these other young bulls would love 2 get there hands on the once great….Posted October 20, 2013 4:53 pm
Provodnikov’s victory against Alvarado didn’t tell me anything I didn’t already know. He’s a WRECKING MACHINE! As for Alvarado, he should fire his current handlers for putting him in 3 back to back wars.
Bradley performed well against Marquez because Marquez gave him the time and room to box. He didn’t look impressive against Provodnikov or Pacquiao. If Alvarado isn’t expected to be the same fighter after facing Provodnikov, then what effect did the Provodnikov fight have on Bradley?
Provodnikov should demand a Bradley rematch.Posted October 20, 2013 3:05 pm
And sportsmanPosted October 20, 2013 2:16 pm
It verified that Provodnikov defeated Bradley in the previous fight. Bradley was given the decision because he is protected by powerful interests. Had the referee worked the fight properly Bradley would have been called knocked down in rounds 1, 2 and 12. Only the ropes held him up in rounds 1 and 2. Any knowledgeable fight fan knows if a fighter is held up by the ropes it is a knock down. The boxing world could not hold Ruslan down any longer. He took matters into his own hands and did not leave the decision in the hands of judges.
Congratulations are in order for Ruslan Provodnikov, a true warrior and champion!Posted October 20, 2013 2:02 pm

That a brave Alvarado has been in too many wars. The one with Prescott was even more brutal. He has been in 6 wars in a row. He needs to get out while he still has his senses. He has nothing more to prove.Posted October 20, 2013 12:56 pm

Prize Fight Connoiseur Jr.
Hey Latvian: ‘head first’ Bradley wants no second helping of Ruslan. He is receiving weekly psychotherapy for his persistent insomnia and nightmares of Asian-looking Russian men (inside source). He will grant PacMan (trademark) a rematch for big bucks in Las Vegas. JMM will take the sloppy second as the receiving partner in a spunk-filled bukkake-fest farewell party in Las Vegas. The Jew Arum will feed the ageing Marquez to the Ruslan. Shyster & Shylock !!Posted October 20, 2013 11:54 am
You gotta respect Mike for accepting this fight. Ruslan looked so strong at 147LBs vs Bradley. His team should’ve known that a compact Ruslan was gonna be brutal. Still, I wouldn’t mind seeing them go at it once more. Russian should remain at 140lbs but a Ruslan vs Broner would be one I’d pay for.Posted October 20, 2013 11:53 am

Johnny the cats out of the bag about Bernard. The most frustrating thing to a boxer is when he WANTS TO FIGHT BUT CAN”T BECAUSE THE OTHER FIghter CLINCHS HIM TO DEATH ! Astute observation Manny. I’ll take a fight like this any day over a BHop or Mayweather snooze fest. I wish the whole scoring system in boxing would get an overhaul to encourage action fights. I.E. holding, clinching are penalized and rings are smaller to discourage running. However, that would probably mean shorter careers for boxers as the damage sustained by fighters would likely be increased. Still, it would make the sport that much more exciting.Posted October 20, 2013 4:45 am
I always enjoyed Ruslan on ESPN and new he was a fun fighter to watch. Now that he is on the world class scene i hope Freddie continues to develop him. I once did think ruslan was a little “stupid” but now i think he is a smart fighter in his own way. He does not like punching without accuracey. And at times when i thought he was just coming in without defense eating punches he was really focusing on looking for openings. I think fighters find him difficult to read. He does not have a mexican style or a african american slick style. Or even a predictable pressure fighter style. He’s a hunter. I’d like to see him move his head during during in between offensive rally’s. Sorta how manny moves his head side to side. Also mix it up and come forward with a Jab sometimes because when he does that it works. I think his conditioning is a solid B but not quite an A.Posted October 20, 2013 4:40 am
The Provodnikov – Alvardo and watched the Gatti – Ward on HBO afterwards is what real fights are. People remember fighters for that one or two or maybe three great fights. Like Hagler – Hearns or Barrara – Morales and this fight tonight with Provo. What I don’t get is a fighter over and over on the Net named Bernard Hopkins keeps saying what a legend and how great he is. He doesn’t come close to have any great fights. He clinchs and hugs and jabs and holds. Now making of himself as ” the alien “. I don’t care how long a fighter fights to in years or his defenses. Is he exciting to watch is all I care about. Hopkins, Ward an Clinch Ko will never be remembered never !Posted October 20, 2013 4:35 am
I believe the Bradley rematch should not be made right away. It will be bad for all involved except Bradley. For one Ruslan is a small five foot 6 fighter, he does not cut much weight and easily makes 140. I do not think he has the skillset that he should give up weight by fighting at a higher weight class when he is a world champion at 140lbs now his power really counts at 140, why give up 7 lbs?. Secondly Bradley absolutely will do everything in his power to stink out the rematch and make it a safety first points win, i guarantee it. I actually think Ruslan should be given a fan friendly matchup that is a reward for taking two ( on paper ) difficult fights in the other fighers backyards. Give him a showcase fight then pursue a PPV with Adrien Broner. Or a unification with Garcia. But certainly if Rios finds a way to beat Pacquiao then that fight Absolutely will get made.Posted October 20, 2013 4:31 am
Gary, GGG and Prov are 20lbs apart. How do you propose they meet? The biggest catch weight difference ive ever seen is 4lbs in between weight classes. What a preposterous post. Even if they were in the same class it would be a complete mismatch as GGG is miles ahead of Prov in every conceivable category.Posted October 20, 2013 4:27 am
Bradley rematch or Manny pffft Arum wont do that.Posted October 20, 2013 4:21 am

What do you expect after training with the legendary, best fighter of all time, Manny Pacquiao. Ruslan has unbelievable inner strength to go along with a fight plan that was perfect. Also, Alvarado’s struggle to make weight yesterday only added to his destruction. Mike is a big guy for this weight. Yesterday, he looked like a zombie, and I told anyone that would listen that he would be stopped between round 9-11. Mike’s not a boxer. He only wasted energy moving like that. Ruslan will beat Bradley if they ever fight again, and he will not fight Manny Pacquiao. Mike Alvarado needs to retire or else he’s going to be seriously hurt for life if he isn’t already. One more round, and Mike is on the way to the hospital or the morgue. Time to hand the gloves up.Posted October 20, 2013 3:01 am

What did it tells us? 140 147 watch out ruslan is coming for youPosted October 20, 2013 2:35 am
What does Provodnikov’s victory really tell us?
What it told us was Alvarado couldn’t use his height and range advantage effectively in this fight.. He stayed inside too much and mixed too much with a guy who has inside leverage on him.. It tells me Alvarado couldn’t clinch and tie him man up effectively despite his background as a wrestler.. It tells me that Alvarado’s head is too far forward, he squares up too often, and his defense is leaky.. He’s especially vulnerable bo left hooks and swinging rights.
This fight told me that Provodnikov doesn’t go crazy when his opponent is hurt.. He takes his time, boxes, and builds on his advantage.. He learned what was working and what wasn’t working and made better adjustments.. He cut the ring off effectively where Brandon Rios didn’t.. Where Rios spent himself in his 2nd go with Mike — Provo used his mental equipment and reeled Alvarado in.Posted October 20, 2013 2:27 am
This pundit says ” I like paqiaos chances more now against rios” … Typical spin!
In other words now a win by PAC dosent count much because rios suddenly look different to this guy since prodvodnikov beat mike al. ??? If you think that way then you can also spin it if you are a PAC fan and say ” pac sparing partner is beating top contenders” …

Prov needs to be careful, uses too much energy sometimes, could gas out and freeze in Siberia.Posted October 20, 2013 1:48 am
Tim Bradley IS tough. But he didn’t beat Provo. Rematch would make a lot of $$$$. Lots of belts, lots of courage, lots of reputation = $$$$$$$$$.Posted October 20, 2013 1:44 am
Provodnikov had better head movement this time around but Roach should start teaching him more defensive strategies so Provo can use them in between the times he’s NOT landing his power punches. Provo seems to either be hitting or being hit, and the numbers for both are almost equal. Great win but too much damage he’s doing to himself already in just two fights. It will be interesting to see how he does in his third fight.Posted October 20, 2013 1:41 am
It tells us how tough Tim Bradley is. He took Provo’s shots and still had the wherewithal to outscore the real deal slugging Siberian. Is it possible to have GGG and Provo meet at some catch-weight to just slug it out? “Rado” may never be anywhere near the same again – Talk about deserving an extended vacation…..Posted October 20, 2013 1:36 am
