The reality is there has NEVER been a conclusive fight between Pac Man and Marquez…. The last bout was tainted by ridiculous odds which I did not understand before the fight… When novices see a 7-1 underdog competing well, winning rounds and having some terrific moments it suddenly looks like a domination which was NOT the case during the last contest….I saw a fight that could have gone either way, Marquez was more accurate and landed the more eyecatching punches but he had LONG stretches of inactivity during the bout… Pac looked baffled at times yet he pressed the attack… I am not particuarly worked up to see a 4th bout but if ever there was a trilogy that has not produced a clear winner of any fight this would be it…. Gatti/Ward had some conclusive wins, Ali/Frazier, and even Corrales/Castillo (rematch) had clear endings…..This fight will have a clear winner, 48 rounds between guys this good is going to produce a conclusive result…. Marquez CLEAR boxing clinic or Pac Man stoppage….. Like it or not they are gonna do it AGAIN…Posted September 21, 2012 9:35 am
SUGGESTING FLOYD, JR. AGAINST MARGARITO, COTTO, CLOTTEY, PAC AND OTHER PAC FIGHTERS IN THE LAST 3 YEARS,NOTHING HAPPENS.
NOW SUGGESTING FLOYD, JR. TO FIGHT MARTINEZ, CHAVEZ, AND WARD WILL JUST GO TO BUBBLE ALSO.
THE MEDIAMEN UNDER FLOYD JR.S PAYROLL ARE JUST DOING THESE JUST TO MAKE FLOYD LOOKS TOUGH.
IT’S JUST AN ADVERTISEMENT AND AGAIN A WASTE OF TIME, IDEAS AND EFFORT TO BAIT ON THIS.

For the MONEY and the UNRESOLVED ARGUMENT. Even Manny beat Marquez TWICE, Marquez’s fans, Floyd’s fans, some US media (oh, Mexican neighbors) and Marquez himself still falsely cry and claim of their fake victory(ies). Manny will settle the argument by a stone-cold KO and closes this old book that he has read several times, and then will donate this book to a library in Mexico City.Posted September 20, 2012 7:49 pm

we’ll agree to disagree…….However…if Bradley lifted Pacquiao ‘s belt…AND HE DID….
Pacquiao (meaning arum) wants to stay as far away from Bradley as possible. If pacman was the overwhelming winner…why the hesitation to get back his Title..and set the record straight ???
answer…arum wants to milk pacman for as many more fights as he can…If pacman fights Bradley…again…he gets out pointed again….not because Bradley is superman(though Bradley is a very good fighter)…it is because Pacquiao is getting old….living well..and has lost the ‘eye of the tiger’…He’s lost a step…and has lost the fire in the bellyPosted September 20, 2012 5:24 pm
I’m a Pacquiao fan but I really did not want to see a fourth fight, I really think Pac should retire, the fight we all wanted to see with FMJ has not happened, which is a crying shame even though it would do tremendous business, even now. We have five fighters which can make great fights, Canelo, Ward, Mayweather, Pacquiao and Martinez will any of these fight each other… I doubt it, recently fights that fans want to see have not happened.Posted September 20, 2012 5:22 pm
It’s gotta be for the $$. Why else would he really want to take on JMM for a 4th time. If…. If, by some stroke… Marquez pulls out the win, be it by decision or the unthinkable… MP can just take his 2 previous wins and write them right off his record because then the major concensus will be that JMM actually won those matches… It’ll just be public opinion but it will haunt MP’s legacy until post-retirement. However, if by some stroke of chance, MP can make a good showing of it… and win decisively, then the record books and public opinion will be in his favor. But it’s gotta be for the $$ ’cause the rematch with ‘Tiny’ Tim would make for a more meaningful fight. Tim doesn’t have JMM’s drawing power… so that’s gotta be the MAIN factor.Posted September 20, 2012 3:15 pm
Out of interest (and with respect) how many Pac v Marquez bouts would you be happy to pay for?Posted September 20, 2012 1:58 pm
Both fighters are determined to write the last chapter and slam the book closed… Marquez is very bitter about the judging of all three fights — so the motivation should be high in a go for broke sense… Although it’s hard to see Marquez outperforming his last effort against Pac.Posted September 20, 2012 12:41 pm

On BoxRec it shows how many experts, writers, journalists thought Pac won and how many thought Bradley won
pbf and pacman have both lost a step…if you can gauge by their last bouts.
‘Manny has beaten(Bradley) convincingly once already’…..well that depends on who you ask. Bradley was avoiding pacman’s power shots..yet standing close enough to counter him all night long. Someone was marking up pacman’s face …red , swollen and bruised at the end of their fight…….Bradley didn’t have a scratch on him.
I suspect this has a lot more to do with manny fighting JMM than do a Bradley rematchPosted September 20, 2012 11:10 am

I saw on Yahoo that Floyd has to pay Manny $113.000 to Manny in the lawsuit settlement for defamation regarding
SREDMOND: Right on!! Right on!! Precisely!! For me, I am a fan of these two equally, so even watching the replays is enjoyable in terms of how these two try to outdo the other and come so close and yet so edgingly short when it’s least expected. I will be leaving just about now for LA airport to Phillie for a long weekend but nice to see you’re back again on ESB. PEACE.Posted September 20, 2012 10:50 am

How many times they gonna you guys pay to watch the same thing?!! This fight will be sold as trying to achieve superiority for 1 of the fighters but we’ve seen these guys go at it 3 times already with the same guy winning every time. What are the chances of something being different this time? Last time out, Pac lost an unpopluar decision to Bradley so he ought to be forcing the issue to get the re-match and set the record straight but instead we get Pac v Marquez 4 ffs!! I predict it will bomb at the PPV. Pac vs Mayweather isn’t even all that interesting anymore as both guys are past their best. Should have happened 2/3 years ago when it was white hot!!Posted September 20, 2012 9:40 am

THIS IS ALSO ABOUT TWO LEGENDS FIGHTING FOR THE FOURTH TIME.

Wow genius comments of course this fight is about money but even though I am not super intrigued to see it there are about 10 legitimate reasons for the bout to occur…. Both men are P4P stalwarts and they have literally fought to a draw across 36 rounds the last fight being the most tactical of the 3….. No one can honestly say that one REALLY got the better of the other so doing it again is not exactly absurd…Posted September 20, 2012 7:49 am
This fight is going to have a conclusive ending this time… The odds of these two fighting to a standstill again are pretty low in my eyes.. I am thinking either a Marquez boxing clinic or Pacquiao gets the old man outta there but this next fight will not be controversial absent those who love conspiracies and childish tales.Posted September 20, 2012 7:46 am

MAN NY OVER MARQUEZ 7,OO AM 9/2012Posted September 20, 2012 6:55 am
Manny has nothing to gain and everything to lose in this match. A win means nothing and if he loses all the haters will say “See, I told you Marquez won all the other times they fought also!” A real shame of a match up that I will be passing on. Not looking forward to this at all.Posted September 20, 2012 3:31 am
This about BUSINESS TO MAKE THE MOST MONEY! We all know the choices for Manny are Bradley or Marquez. This is going to be same song and dance routine. There’s no other challenge for Manny except for Floyd. After that then he’s off to the sunset. And Marquez still have options like fighting Bradley but father time will catch him too.
This fight is a WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. I won’t be buying it. Arum/Pacman can fool some people some of the time; but they can’t fool EVERYBODY ALL THE TIME. To answer the author’s question. HELL YES; it’s for the MONEY. Arum is CASHING IN because he knows Pacman’s DAYS ARE VERY LIMITED and he is going to get as much from his CASH COW before he lays him out to pasture; SMDH!!!!!Posted September 20, 2012 1:57 am
I don’t care how many times Pac and Marquez fight — these two know how to put on a great match. Three perfect matches and now the fourth — can’t hardly wait.Posted September 20, 2012 1:02 am

Yes cotto did that who is a real good fighter, but to many Martinez ends cotto’s career what would he do to floyd at 154 were he has a belt at,he’s a title holder that’s it. Floyd-Sergio 2013.If floyds up to proving he’s the best that is.Posted September 19, 2012 9:36 pm
At least he’s getting paid for it… He made about 87 million in his last 2 fights… He’ll probably salt away another 2 checks like that at the most.Posted September 19, 2012 8:36 pm
@bikermike…. Floyd actually did pretty well in his last fight, at least for the viewers.. Great PPV #’s.. He won a clear unanimous decision over a 3-Division World Champion fighting at 154—well above Floyd’s best weight.. It was a pretty interesting fight for a change – and with a bloodied nose and a couple of bungs on his face, 35-year-old Floyd had to fight his friggin’ ass off.Posted September 19, 2012 8:33 pm
Marquez XXIV?Posted September 19, 2012 8:25 pm
Well, not “everybody.” You better go back and read some post fight articles. And watch some post fight interviews with experts and boxers alike who watched the fight. Most of them said Manny won.Posted September 19, 2012 8:22 pm

Typical for you to act like its only MEXICANS that believe JMM won. Everybody with boxing knowledge including FREDDY ROACH(if you care to read in between the lines in his interviews) Believe JMM won their last fight. So stop with you nonsense.Posted September 19, 2012 6:55 pm
Its all about money.if it wasnt pacquiao would fight bradley again.i guess after this fight pac will only have bradley as an option.thats when arum will put him in with fmj.Posted September 19, 2012 6:54 pm
Pac-bradley I didn’t make 800,000 buys(700,000 actually) let alone 1 million buys(pac-marquez did 1.3 millions)nobody wants to see overrated/boring bradley II only pac fans, not even them.Only reason they might want tim is cause it be easier they all know Marquez has pacs number regardless of age & pac can’t afford looking average against a true elite(JMM).Well he will for the 4th time,Marquez beats him even more convincingly like he always does & he’ll still gets robbed by split decision not worth it.Don’t expect it surpassing the 3rd one you can only fool people for so long.Heard a lot of people wont buy tim-pac II or pac-Marquez 4.Cant blame em 2 very controversial decsions, pac hype train is crashing like i expected.Pac can’t afford another bad/average performance like he will or no pac-floyd fight. Not like they would’ve fought anyways.Posted September 19, 2012 6:22 pm
Of course its about the money, boxing is all business and has been for a long time. Boxing is probably one of the most corrupt sports, I’m a fan of Pacquiao but even I’ll admit things are not right with the sport just look at Pacquiao v Bradley, that was all about gambling at the end of the day.
Even though Cotto lost to Mayweather the fight was a lot closer than the scores show. People going on about giving Chavez Jr a rematch…why? because it will make money even thought he got beat easily. The world is all about power, business and wealth that includes the sports we the public love The more people know the better, there is always someone somewhere making money off something, even the most horrid of things.Posted September 19, 2012 5:43 pm
All Bob Arum cares about is money, his little cash cow Manny Arum has 4 loses now. midgetPosted September 19, 2012 5:34 pm
Arum need not fear putting Pac in with Bradley, after all, Manny has beaten him convincingly once already. And sometimes stating the obvious has to be done. Tark was suggesting that by comparing the Mayweather/Bradley numbers with Pac/Bradley it will prove Floyd is by far the bigger draw. But as you say, I’m sure every fight that Douglas or Spinks did after Tyson/Ali was a far bigger event than their bouts prior to beating these legendary sporting figures.Posted September 19, 2012 5:32 pm
Yep……not about any of MY money. FMJ and Pac have been force feeding fans sparring sessions and making you pay to see it. Bradley did not beat Pac so most fans want the onesided Pac chasing down the marathon running Bradley behind them. Bradley used to have a fan base but with his arrogance he lost the small one he did have. If Pac can’t sell Bradley, FMJ isn’t going to try to sell the little powder puff puncher either. No hope to see a real fight. This fight will end exactly like the others unless JMM doesn’t use the juice he used last out after discovering Bhops stash. Then he will be old overnight. But I doubt it …….same song…… Mexicans screaming JMM won and the rest of the world agreeing with the judges. :mad:Posted September 19, 2012 5:18 pm
popkin…..You state the obvious..
When Buster Douglas beat Tyson….Buster Douglas became famous
………….and Timothy Bradley has become famous for out pointing…and beating Pacquaio in both their last fight.
Many wonder why there is no rematch !! myself included. Simple answer…..arum wants to feed off Pacquiao as long as he can…so no Bradley rematchPosted September 19, 2012 5:06 pm
Yes — this is about money. Just not my money — because I won’t pay to see this fight.Posted September 19, 2012 5:01 pm
I must agree with Tark….Bradley would be the fight most fight fans want.
In a way …Marquez XXIV would be for the money…insofar as Pacquiao has slowed down(so has pbf)…and the braintrust of Pacquiao doesn’t beleive he’ll do any better…maybe even worse…against Bradley. If Bradley beats him twice…..NO CHANCE IN HELL OF A PACMAN pbf matchup….which is dying on the vine anyway.
remember pbf didn’t exactly set the sky on fire in his last effort eitherPosted September 19, 2012 5:01 pm
Of course we will. The Pacquiao fight has massively raised Bradley’s international profile.Posted September 19, 2012 4:57 pm
Yes.Posted September 19, 2012 4:52 pm
Pacquiao-Bradley II would do better… The revenge factor would be a lot stronger and Bradley would be healthier… But now Bradley can fight Floyd and we’ll see a huge difference in the PPV numbers of Pacquiao-Bradley and Mayweather-Bradley.Posted September 19, 2012 4:37 pm
