Funtime Frankie must surely be #1 contender for the EBU title @147Lb. So where’s the fight?

PISSED Honestly, that would be a fatal mistake. Gavin simply aint ready yet. It would be in his BEST interest to let him mature or he’ll probably end up another “could’ve been” casualty that was rushed too soon. Here in Puerto Rico I see it all the time. Our Island is notoriously known for rushing their young talent. They seem to be awaiting the “Second Coming Of Seventeen Year Old Wilfred Benitez”, the youngest fighter ever to win a world title. The chances of that ever happening again a very slim and none. Well, maybe not, especially with the way these greedy sanctioning org$ conveniently hand out “world titles”. The tender Benitez annexed his WORLD title defeating future HOF Antonio “Kid Pambele “Cervantes, who at the time was considered in the top 5 P4P in an era where there wasn’t FOUR “world” titles/the weakest kink to pick from. As for Gavin, give him time.

Frankie’s the best boxer in Britain IMO. Would love to see him take on the best in the world now that he seems to have got his head sorted.

Gavin is good prospect with a fine amateur backround. I have copies of 5 of his fights including his 2007 AIBA Finals victory over Italian Olympian Domencio Valentino and 7th round KO win over tough & worthy Jason Welborn earlier this year. No, he’s not yet ready for the top Welters but could possibly be a fighter to watch in the future. Let him first defeat the best in Europe. Time will tell if can eventually ‘hang’ with the best of the world.

Frankie could be a genuine world beater, I don’t say this ever but he’s about as hard to hit as Mayweather Jr is and he’s southpaw, also his power is improving ask Denton Vassell with his broken jaw.

I AM NOW SOLD ON FUN TIME…. HE schooled Vassell in what should have been a tough, gruelling test. He now needs to aim at Europe’s finest and then next year aim at the top dogs at Welterweight.

Gavin is very slick and hard to hit.His power was the thing that worried me the most, but as someone said his power is getting better. If his power is getting better as he matures then he could very well be a world champ, and make a huge statement in boxing…Good-Luck Frankie…
