I’ll quote Compubox stats whenever I damn feel like it, you low down POS. The stats PROVE that Pac clearly won the third fight.
I doubt that JMM landed more punches in the first two fights, but if he did… he certainly didn’t land more POWER shots. Take into consideration the knockdowns and that Pac clearly landed the cleaner harder shots. Period.
Please learn more about boxing before trying to debate me, you stupid Mayate.Posted August 24, 2013 9:01 pm
And you keep repeating that Pac beat Bradley. What’s your point? That’s not gonna change the fact that Bradley won. And there are well respected people in the boxing community that feel Bradley won alsoPosted August 24, 2013 6:36 pm
Stop quoting punch stats. You only say them when they favor whom ever you are going for. Marquez out landed Pac in the first 2 fights. The 3rd fight Marquez clearly won and was clearly robbed by the judges to try and make the Pac vs Floyd fightPosted August 24, 2013 6:34 pm
Actually Pac declined the rematch. He said he felt he already won and everybody knew he won also. Bradley was trying to make the rematch but Pac declined.Posted August 24, 2013 6:32 pm

That’s B.S. PEEJ! In reality, Bradley and JMM were both offered an opportunity to rematch Pacquiao a few months ago, but both turned down the chance and chose to fight each other instead.
JMM just made a public statement to the media a couple of days ago, saying that he will NOT give PacMan a 5th fight. Even though Pac wants to fight him again after the Rios bout.
It doesn’t matter if JMM “feels” like he won all fights, because in reality he only won 1 out of 4. In the third fight, Compubox stats show that Pac threw 142 more punches and LANDED 38 more punches that JMM. I’m pretty sure Pac also landed more power shots.
But you guys keep repeating that JMM won the 3rd, as if you think you keep repeating it like a mantra, it will somehow become a reality. Sorry, but that’s not what happened!
And in the 4th fight, Pac won 4 out of the first 5 rounds before getting caught and KO’d in the 6th. That’s right, Pac was outboxing him again before he finally got caught with a perfectly lucky shot he didn’t see coming.
Pac knocked JMM down 5 times throughout those 4 fights. But yes… JMM scored the only KO. I firmly believe that JMM’s chances of stopping Pac again would be slim to none. And that’s probably why JMM is refusing to give him a 5th fight. Real talk.Posted August 23, 2013 9:51 pm
Pac turned down a rematch with Bradley so if Bradley wins not sure I would try to make a rematch with Pac. Marquez feels like he won all the fights. I think he won the 3rd fight but got robbed by the judges.Posted August 23, 2013 7:01 pm

I’d like to see JMM win this one because Bradley was gifted wins over PacMan and Provo. (The fight with Provo was a Draw, but the ref didn’t give Provo credit for the first knock down).
The winner should have to face PacMan in a rematch — if Pac beats Rios.
However, JMM just made a public statement to the media saying that he will NOT give PacMan a 5th fight. That’s too bad because it would’ve given JMM a chance to even the score and prove that KO wasn’t just a perfectly lucky shot.
Sorry boxing fans, but PacMan STILL leads the series — unless JMM agrees to give him a 5th fight and prove that he can beat him again. But remember, Pac won 4 out of the first 5 rounds before he got caught and KO’d in the 6th. He was outboxing JMM — again. Real talk.Posted August 23, 2013 2:31 pm

I don’t think there’s a close enough, obvious connection to make that assumption, Peej. Ariza had a big mouth and was a trouble maker. He was speaking out publicly against his own camp and I believe Roach had made comments in the past about Ariza causing trouble. It’s Pac’s choice to hire or fire Ariza, but Ariza was causing conflict in the Pacquiao camp and I bet that’s the #1 reason why he’s gone.Posted August 23, 2013 11:28 am

Tark my friend, JMM will always be looked at as the guy that probably got away with using Peds because of his association with Angel Hereida. He then does what he’s never been close to doing to Manny Pacquiao, His body has changed as well as his cranium and facial structure. I’ve sen the guy physically change up close and live. He then avoids and wants no part of VADA and USADA testing for no sensible reason at all. He then wants to agree to it only if Bradley weighs in no more than 10 pounds over the contract weight? This is the same guy that first off said he knew nothing of Hereida, then changes his story a few days later. Tark, the man will eventually bee exposed. Why the commissions and promoters don’t put their foot down and make it mandatory is BS. They’re both in on it because money talks. So sad.Posted August 23, 2013 1:35 am
Bradley was trying to prove a point against Provodnikov, after a long layoff & that almost cost him the fight; that won’t be the case against Marquez. Bradley can box & he can box well. JMM won’t be able to keep up with a fired-up dessert storm…that’s my prediction.Posted August 23, 2013 1:30 am

I love Marquez but he made a mistake by keeping fighting; JMM has Pac’s # but that doesn’t mean he has everybody else#. Tim has too much energy & drive & he won’t be rusty for this fight; I like him to stop Marquez…I advised Marquez to retire on the very top, he didn’t…he’ll regret it.Posted August 23, 2013 1:15 am
shades of Marquez v. I have to go with Bradley on this one, Marquez’s age is starting to show. Marquez will look good for the first 4 rounds and start to slow, with Bradley’s high energy style I believe he will do enough work late in the fight to get the victory. No controversy, except drummed up by the fans. I still Believed that Bradley beat Pacquioa, by slipping most of his punches and out working Pacquioa the entire fight. Pacquioa tried to fight in spots and it didn’t work.Posted August 22, 2013 9:40 pm
I think Bradley is too slow at welter. His foot movement is lacking, allowing him to be hit more. He has a lot of heart. I think this will be a fun fight to watch. I wish the best for both of these boxers.Posted August 22, 2013 9:38 pm

The thing about Marquez is that his physical changes first became noticeable in his third fight with Pacquiao, and Marquez performed better in that fight than he ever had against Manny. Conte also made mention of that. Then in their 4th fight, Marquez appeared with his fully developed “new” body and of course we know what happened in that fight.
But the reason Marquez got so much scrutiny for the way he looked in his 4th fight with Pac is exactly for the reason several of you have pointed out: He’s a professional. In all of his fabulous boxing career–and we’re talking about one of the best boxers in the world today, and for at least the past 10 years–Marquez NEVER came into a fight looking like he did for his fourth bout with Pacquiao. So, in all of his professional career, which has been very successful, this guy suddenly appears with the best physique he has ever had? In all his years of pro boxing, he couldn’t do this before? Or didn’t?
But Marquez did the right thing when the insinuations and accusations of PED use started flying. He just denied it. No excuses, no stumbling and stuttering. Then again, every single PED user that was ever caught claimed he didn’t do PEDS.
I’ll give Marquez the same benefit of the doubt I have given Pac for the last several years. But I tell you what, I was very surprised to see Marquez’s physique when he took off his robe. That was NOT the JMM I was ever used to seeing in the ring.Posted August 22, 2013 8:41 pm

Titopa my friend, you must remember that JMM has Mr. Ped himself, Angel Hereida. The same guy that said he could mask anything. And, why did JMM not want to do both USADA and VADA testing? Any clean athlete like Bradley would never even hesitate to do so. Looks like JMM stalled, didn’t want to do both and has been scrambling for excuses. The man looks like a cheater, talks like a cheater and is running like a cheater. Trust me, sooner or later the truth will come out. There is no reason whatsoever to not agree without hesitation to do both. I wonder why Brandon Rios dumped Mr. Hereida? IMO, JMM is a cheater and will one day SOON be exposed. Justice always prevails.Posted August 22, 2013 7:45 pm

“Marquez is not your normal 39 year old. He is a professional athlete” as dedicated as Mayweather is to his mental and physical preparation for a fight. i can recall in a spanish-language interview prior to IV when Marquez revealed that he had essentially remained in training the entire time between III and IV. i also recall that prior to III, he discussed at length his belief that a clean-living and health-conscious fighter could maintain his prime until 37/38 years of age before experiencing any decline. one thing about Marquez, he’s been candid and transparent about his training regimen all along. there is nothing cryptic about his statements or suspect about his behavior. his professional integrity is beyond reproach.Posted August 22, 2013 5:51 pm

Yeah but a history of drug use and a history of PED use is a bit different. They did drugs to get high. And he does the random testing and he has fighters on his team that now does them all year long or they are supposed to. At least that is what was said. This is a great fight and a hard one to pick. Bradley will get off first, but will be effectively countered throughout the fight. Bradley has a tendency to get badly buzzed, but the will stay in there while basically being out on his feet. The problem here will be when Bradley does get hurt, he doesn’t hold. Instead he just throws a flurry of meaningless punches to act as a smokescreen hiding the fact that he is seriously hurt. If he gets hurt and opens up like that against the dangerously accurate counterpuncher in Marquez, that could very well take him from being out on his feet, to out on his back. Still, a great match-up and I’m not making my final prediction as of yet. That will come as the fight gets closer and I’ve had more time to envision the fight in my mind.Posted August 22, 2013 11:38 am
Marquez is going to pick Bradley apart, once Marquez connects Bradley will try to exchange and…..bam! Leave himself open for a masterful counter puncher.Posted August 22, 2013 11:19 am
Manny took money to lose? Sure, and Bob Arum is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood.Posted August 22, 2013 11:01 am

tbone – you must know something the world does not know. How do you know that Manny took pay to lose to a relative unknown. And how do you know that Bradley wont use his head in the fight to win.Posted August 22, 2013 10:55 am
