I saw you making plenty of excuses for Cleverly. I don’t think that is admitting defeat. Kovalev is the real deal and you were warned what the result would be. But just like your buddies you chose to cast insults instead of any fight insight or attributes where Cleverly had an advantage (except home cooking). There is no one, at this time, who can test Kovalev, don’t you get it. This shows the greatness of Kovalev.

I see all the Barker bandwagon jumpers are the same ones who picked Cleverly to beat Kovalev. When the paper champ got smashed they went into hiding. They never talk about the attributes of a fight or fighter just throw personal insults around and end up eating humble pie. Now it’s Barker I guess. They really like these ‘D’ grade belt holders who can’t earn titles without controversy.

Farmboxer – stick to farming as you seem to know very little about scoring a fight.

Barker should feel VERY lucky, like the judges I think a lot of you poms scored a lot of punches that hit nothing but glove. Not a highway robbery and not Geale’s best performance, Barker had more stamina than I was expecting. What I did find interesting that everyone thought Barker was the bigger puncher and Geale would throw more punches, they reversed roles as it was clear by looking at Barker’s face who took the heavier shots. Darren Barker certainly seems like a genuinely nice bloke and I’m pleased he will get his moment. I do believe there is a rematch clause, I think Geale would win a rematch.

Well done to Darren Barker. How he got up from that shot I don’t know. I thought he well won, he forced it all the way.

Good point regarding a rematch if there’s a S/D & yes Geale does deserve one. However Boxing politics are Boxing politics & if the IBF order Barker/Sturm so be it. Geale should get 1st dibs at the winner though.

boxing barlow

In fact any world title fight that ends in a split decision should automatically be ordered a rematch.

Greale didn’t win Barker did. I had it to Barker by a round so it was close. No robbery here like some are suggesting. Barker should give him a rematch though, bring him to the uk.

Geale won. If the idiot criminal judge had not scored the 12th round for Barker Geale would have won. Geale won the 12th round easily, had Barker out. Whatever, neither one would have a chance against Golovkin!!!

Geale won.

That was a magnificent recovery by Barker. It showed a lot of will and determination. He’s one tough warrior.
