Geale 2 win…2 busy, 2 many punchers from diff angles. Barker a punchers chance, Geale has a great chin however and usually cones back with 4-5 punches after copping a shot he’s a very awkward fighter…As 4 GGG if I remember correctly the WVA gave Geale very little time 2 fight GGG after taking the belt in Germany. Geale will fight GGG he’s scared of no1, and a very humble likable guy, a true champion.Posted August 17, 2013 8:20 pm
This is a close call, but I think Darren can pull this off……Good match up…Gotta go with boxing barlow on this one……Posted August 17, 2013 2:55 pm

Won’t be around tonight, taking the bus to Costco for a case of depends. I just want to say I knew it all along whoever the winner was, I had them @ 9 to 5 to win it.Posted August 17, 2013 12:58 pm

BARKERPosted August 17, 2013 12:55 pm
Taking the Clever one with a UD WINPosted August 17, 2013 10:24 am
First of all I,d like to say I have never seen gale fight, I hav only seen edited highlights , so I can’t comment on what he brings to the ring.
Geale has a very good engine and must have good boxing skills otherwise he wouldn’t be a world champion. Barker’s performance against Martinez was good but not great however since this fight Barker seems to be fighting at a level above the Martinez performance – maybe it’s just new found confidence but he’s impressed me in a way he didn’t before. This is gunna be an interesting close contest that either guy can win – as a brit I’ll be rooting for Barker however a Geale win wouldn’t be a total surprise.Posted August 17, 2013 9:24 am
Calm down there pie chucked and 2620. I actually admire and respect Geale. read what I actually wrote. Mostly it is complimentary to Geale. But facts is facts. It is hard to name any single boxing skill that Geale is even very good at never mind exceptional. He has gone a long way with what he has….a great engine, high workrate, tough chin, and real mental steel. he will probably win against Barker. there I said it. He will probably win AGAIN ..against yet another fairly ordinary opponent, no disrespect to Barker, his lack of physicality will probably let him down again.
Leornard you are an idiot. I’m glad you are not a professional boxing judge. Aw wait with bad scoring like that you probably are.Posted August 17, 2013 8:30 am
leonard – “geales limited skillset” ????? your not serious are you?Posted August 17, 2013 8:12 am
Geale by easy decision, far to quick, skilled and elusive for Barker.. watch Geale get in and out of range at lightning speed without getting hit, throwing combinations while in there and countering from the outisde. Barker has a punchers chance at bestPosted August 17, 2013 6:10 am
.The ‘same old same old’ wont be enough from Barker to beat Geale. Barker must literally almost double his normal punch output if he is to win. Thats a big ask from Barker who has always lacked the physicality needed to make it as a champion. But f he really has reinvented himself as he claims then he definitely has certain advantages over Geale. While I favour Geale, the physically and mentally tougher man, I have to point out that Geale is by no means unbeatable. He has been very lucky so far, but there is only so far you can go on Geales limited skillset. So Barker has a chance. barker has certain advantages over Geale…Height, reach , crisper jab, a bit more power to name just a few. if this was a 6 or 8 round fight I would confidently pick Barker, but the fact is that he fades badly in the second half of 12 rounds. just watch his fights with Belgecham and Sergio for proof of this.
if geale beats barker, will set up fights between geale and Martinez or GGG yew ! this is wat the geale camp wantsPosted August 17, 2013 4:47 am
You’ve got it, boxing barlow!!
I see this fight looking a lot like Hatton/Collazo when it’s all said and done.Posted August 17, 2013 4:23 am
Geale may have picked the wrong opponent if Ye was looking for someone to ‘look impressive against’. I have Geale as a favorite but I can’t see this ever being an easy night for Geake and I don’t think he will KO Barker. In fact I can see a controversial decision after a very close fight.Posted August 17, 2013 3:47 am
I never saw Geale fight but I saw Barker fight Martinez. He seems to have (at least then) decent skills and a kinda solid beard. Geale must be really good. This one talk be awesome!Posted August 16, 2013 10:49 pm
Most pundits are talking about the Cleverly/Kovalev bout across the pond, but I love this match-up between Geale and Barker!!
Should be a great fight between two very underrated fighters!!Posted August 16, 2013 10:20 pm
Hey that’s my bike! you couldn’t have said it any better xxxxxPosted August 16, 2013 10:16 pm
Hey, That’s my Bike!!!
C’mon Geale send this Brit packing. Too much skill, endurance, work rate, toughness, speed, footwork for an easy nights work. GEALE W.UD.12Posted August 16, 2013 10:11 pm
