Cmon Joe, I wanted to give him the 3rd degree, nobody answered the call! This is a bigger promotion than the pet rock! Be serious!Posted August 14, 2013 1:15 am
Guys, Deontay Wilder has been confirmed as our first guest on this week’s edition of The Pugilist KOrner!!
If you have any questions for the Bronze Bomber, call in at 718-506-1506!!Posted August 13, 2013 5:44 pm
Michael Collins? Aint that the Cat that traveled to the Moon? Probably not, according to “experts” that sh.. was all fabricated anyway!Posted August 13, 2013 11:08 am
Tark is as illogical as Michael Collins…same person?Posted August 13, 2013 10:27 am
Hey Tark, all politicking aside, We get you, Youre a Wilder Homer! Whats youre opinion on Matt Skelton! Why do you suppose he still kicks behind as a Heavyweight well into his 40’s! Sounds like you have a Myopic view on things considering you are someone in Boxing Circles! Cmon Tark take a walk on the wild side!Posted August 13, 2013 5:22 am
Wilder will top out at 235… He’s not going to be a huge heavyweight… He’s a very slender heavyweight.. Very slender legs.. But by the time he’s 33 or 34 he’ll be somewhat bigger and stronger … He needs to develop his speed and craft because he’s not going to smash everyone.Posted August 13, 2013 2:30 am
How the fch is anybody gonna add 20-30 pounds on their legs! With what PEDs? I think the only fighter who can do that is Gabe Brown on a Thanksgiving Feast! Its pure Physics! Povetkin, Thompson, and even Price can probably hit harder! The power comes from the legs! All of this sh.. has been orchestrated, lets face it! Hey Tark if you are someone, Why don’t you address the mismatches, the fixxs, the racial politics, The Boxing Media’s propaganda! The lack of coverage of European Boxing, Chris john, The Military Ramifications of a countrys having a champion, the illumanati, the lack of recruiting in American Suburbs, the poor turnout of minorities at boxing events! Speak up boy! Im interested!Posted August 13, 2013 1:28 am
It’s Me, Ernie
That makes a lot of sense douche-nozzle…Posted August 13, 2013 1:23 am
Nope… You’re an enema schnozzle brown noser. How now brown clown?Posted August 12, 2013 10:53 pm
It’s Me, Ernie
Tark is a douchenozzle…Posted August 12, 2013 10:37 pm
I don’t really respect it at all Herron… Because you’ve been wrong so many times and your analysis makes no sense to me… Plus you suck up to people who have no knowledge.. You want to be popular.. I don’t have that problem because I don’t give a rat’s ass.. I’m not here as me.
I also have other reasons for using an alias… Everybody does it — including Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Now… I like people to take my opinions at face value, because they have a lot of value. Not because of who I am. If they don’t like them whether they know me or not they can say so.. I speak in TARK’S voice not my own.. but my opinions are real and mine but the voice is not. My opinions are the real deal. There are times when you’re giving opinions, even if you don’t think you would be, you are affected by a friendship. Nevertheless when you read it—you know you were. That’s being human. That’s why people use nicknames and post anonymously.
I do more postings on political websites than I do on Boxing sites. And the vitriol is even more vicious and poisonous than Boxing sites. It’s funnier too. There the real sub-humans come out of the woodwork. However the arguments are meatier and more interesting.Posted August 12, 2013 8:25 pm
If you really were in the industry and knew anything about the sport, then you would be able to tell that I had a lot of knowledge of the fight game.
I do PR work and advise a lot of fighters and promoters as well.
That’s why I don’t believe you…because everyone in the industry that I talk to has a lot of respect for my knowledge of the fight game. If you actually had that knowledge, you would recognize it as well.Posted August 12, 2013 8:00 pm
Why hide behind anonymity, Tark.
Boxing is a very small circle, brother. if you are indeed involved in the sport, then we know a lot of the same people.
Who are you?Posted August 12, 2013 7:56 pm
And I still have a hand in the industry and still do consulting… I nix matchups or OK them depending on how far along a prospect is. And I make suggestions. Nobody would ask for my opinion if I had the kind of lame knowledge you have … which is none at all.Posted August 12, 2013 7:50 pm
that is the best and most insightful post you’ve made in a while.
On the show last night I stated exactly that…it’s an exciting time to be a fan of the heavyweights.
Good job, brother!!Posted August 12, 2013 7:46 pm
Herron… You’re worse than a little girl… You’re what comes out of a little girl’s behind.. A turd.
You make excuses for your lame picks.. Berto isn’t a good fighter.. Zavek is much worse.. You and your buddy still picked Berto to beat Guerrero. LMFAO
top crying you flake.. Admit you’re not a master of the game and really don’t know what you’re talking about.Posted August 12, 2013 7:44 pm
To become THE Heavyweight Champion Wilder would have to beat a lot of talented Heavyweights… David Haye… Kubrat Pulev… and Tyson Fury would be a pretty fair opponents for him… Wladimir is not going anywhere for the next couple years and that would be a very tough fight for Wilder as well… Bryant Jenning is no piece of cake.
If any of those five (5) fights are made I will definitely make a pick. Right now I think he would stop Fury and the other fights would be problematic… Not that Wilder couldn’t win all of them, but he’s got a ways to go defensively and as far as testing his endurance to go 12 … and he’s going to have a tough time getting the right fights to top off his skills … I see the Heavyweight Division as the toughest it’s ever been.Posted August 12, 2013 7:39 pm
Tark: “You said “We don’t know that.” I guess Steward is the exception”
Tark, you sound like a little girl!!
Steward had no idea what was in Deontay’s future. All he was pointing out was that Wilder has all of the physical tools to become a world champion…he stated that about a lot of fighters who never realized their true potential in the sport.
Again, no one knows what Deontay will achieve in the sport of boxing…that’s not incriminating by any stretch of the imagination…it’s stating the truth.
No one knows how he will react to pressure and sdversity in the ring.
Who cares!! Just enjoy the journey!!Posted August 12, 2013 6:51 pm
Bum fighters, Tark?
Brother, those “bum” fighters are the unsung heroes of the sport.
Without those “bums”, it’s impossible to cultivate a fighter properly and impossible to put on hundreds of entertaining club fight cards per year, which keep the sport alive at the grassroots level.
Not to mention, those “bums” probably haven’t had the privilege of being able to train without distraction, having to hold down a 40 hour a week job while trying to pursue their boxing aspirations.
Have more respect for the sport, Tark.Posted August 12, 2013 6:41 pm
It’s very hard to match someboyd like Wilder… Bum fighters will fight anyone—that’s what they do… Give them expense money… Give them per diems… Set them up at a nice hotel… They only ask, “How much?” and, “Where and when are we fighting?”
Serious contenders are harder go get. They might not care how much money you offer them to fight a big puncher like Wilder. They see themselves getting a title shot and compare themselves to every bum who ever fought for a title. “So an so got a title shot… Why not me???” Remember, Alfredo Evangelista got 2 title shots … and even Leon Spinks beat him.
Champions are like everyone else. They like easy fights too.
Fighting a risky fight against a big puncher who doesn’t own a title is not attractive for many contenders.
You can throw tons of money at a contender or two—or you can take a premature title fight without fighting ANY contenders, and well before you’re ready … which is often what happens.Posted August 12, 2013 6:25 pm
You said “We don’t know that.” I guess Steward is the exception.Posted August 12, 2013 6:22 pm
I’ve never heard that from Wlad, who has sparred with a lot of great fighters. What I did hear from Emanuel Steward was that Deontay has everything it takes to become a long reigning world champion.Posted August 12, 2013 6:02 pm
Ivan D . ” Wladimer said that Wilder was his best sparring partner ever ” ….
Wilder is still being breast fed. Look wilder has got power it seems, but its hard to be 100% on thatuntil he fights at least a guy like chris areola. Wilder is geting a big head over beating washed up bums and that will give wilder a false sence and could get him ko d. Calm down wilder.Posted August 12, 2013 3:57 pm
30 years from now those big undefeated euro fighters that w. Klit… beat will look good on his resume, and he has earend taking a few not so hard fights, but enuf is anuf, im gettin tired of klit… not fighting the best, at least now he s srep n things up. I hate the way americans act like if a fighter isnt from america and we havent herd of them, they must suck. Boxing is a global sport now and thd best fighters are not in america, get over it.Posted August 12, 2013 3:51 pm
Why the heck is Wilder waiting for the enima? Leon friggun Spinks beat Mohammed Ali after 11 fights to win the HW title! This guy had Olympic Pedigree too!Posted August 12, 2013 8:59 am
It is most certainly true that Wilder has taken a similar path that Wlad had! I don’t think Wlad fought Purity, Byrd, and Barrett until after his 30th fight! Wlad for the most part was weaned on opponents with winning records !We will soon see! But it has been obvious that some of Wilders opponents can take the plunge better than Greg Luganis! Lets be real! Liakhovich? Dude had no strategy! It was a better performance than some of Sir Lawrence Oliviere’s stuff! See Youtube Kerston Manswell vs Wilder! The guy went down 3x and didn’t get hit! I do think its ridiculous that there setting sights on Arreola and Mitchell! Both fighters have been coming off of subpar efforts! And neither has something to bring to the table! Im hoping to see a match eventually with Samil Samil Sam!Posted August 12, 2013 8:27 am

wald over protemkinPosted August 12, 2013 7:34 am
Wladimir said that Wilder was his best sparring partner ever and Wilder already he said that he hold his own against both Klitschkos and he was holding back all the time.
Wlad is my idol, but, he faced nobodies like Wilder as well. Who the hell faced Wlad in his first 5 years as a pro? Nobodies. Wlad said that Wilder will become a super star and the next great World champion. Why is that if Wilder sucked in the sparring sessions?
Mcline said Wilder is incredible as well.
How many times was Wlad dropped as a pro including against bums? Many times. You talk like Wlad has a great chin. Wlad can be hurt.Posted August 12, 2013 5:33 am
Wlder is looking really good and is the best in America imo..would be awesome to see him in there with a Klitchko…but he hasnt earned a shot yet…I think he had a small step up in his last 2 bouts sergie was a journey man that got lucky an won the wbo hw title 7 years ago 5 years past his best ,lost on his first defence by ko, an has lost his last 2 by ko b4 wilder which was over 17 months ago , so the hype continues around wilders undefeated record an ko power, but hes koing journey men an has beens he needs Odlanier solis or Dereck chisora some1 whos gna take him into the deep rounds an a fight where wilder maybe doent have it all his own way. Also would be awesome to see him in there with the seth v arreola winnerPosted August 12, 2013 3:28 am
Wilder already had a fight scheduled with Chisora… So no, he’s not ducking Dereck… And he sure as Hell isn’t ducking Solis or Thompson… Don’t be ridiculous.Posted August 12, 2013 1:21 am
Vlad toyed with Wilder in sparring for the Wach fight. Wilder was knocked down more than once with head gear on………………Wilder could not land that right hand on Vitali or Vlad, but if he did land it on Vitali, Vitali would not even blink his eyes. Wilder would get knocked out.
Wilder refused to fight Tony Thompson, Chisora and now he refuses to fight Solis! Wilder will fight an experienced fight next, yes, Christy Martin!? I would like to see Wilder fight Wach, at least that is someone who has a good chin. The promoters believe that the boxing fans are retarded idiots. Any top fighter would have knocked Lyakhovich out. However, most are a little more careful in the first round. It appeared that Wilder knew that Lyakhovich was not going to throw any dangerous punches. How about the winner of Arreola/Mitchel, or Jennings? No, too dangerous. Wilder does not have to fight top ten, 20 or 30 fighters.Posted August 12, 2013 12:52 am
Squared-Circle Real Talk (a.k.a. The Lion King of Beat Street)
“He is a lean Ectomorph for his 6’7 only carrying only 225lbs!”
That’s because Wilder’s arms are thicker than his legs. The dude looks like he walking around on a pair of wooden stilts….LOL.
He could add 20-30-lbs of muscle to his calves, quads and hamstrings through proper weight-training — without losing speed and agility of his footwork. Building more muscle and strength in his legs would also increase his overall punching power. At that point, he would be 245-255lbs and a REAL Super HW.
The #1 mystery about Wilder is his chin. We don’t know whether or not he has a glass jaw until we see him get chin-checked a few times by a true Super HW power puncher.
I’m all in favor of Wilder fighting Wlad Klitschko ASAP — before he gets too old and past his prime. I’d like to see how Wilder’s chin would stand up to that power piston-jab and those steel hammers.
Wilder looks like he has really good hand speed and power. But he really needs to step it up and start fighting top-10 contenders, immediately.Posted August 12, 2013 12:01 am
I do not blame Wilder for the controversy he is the focus on! He has fought mostly as a Heavyweight not a SuperHeavyweight as a an amateur! Iim afraid the people that are handeling him meticulously are leaving him no room for error! They are relying on momentum if anything! If he loses, he may not have the resiliency to fight again! At this point, Wach, Mesi, Sosnowski, and Sultan Ibragimov all had similar starts! But the hype surrounding was non-existant! These Gentleman proved there mettle by fighting competitively against worthy opponents at the watermark that Wilder has reached! But Wheres the Beef with Deontay? Where is the assumption that Wilder is atheletic? What is that supposed to mean? He is a lean Ectomorph for his 6’7 only carrying only 225lbs! He usually oils himself before a fight to accentuate definition! If wilder is such an athelete, Can he throw a discuss? Can he throw a curveball? How much can he Bench Press? I see that Golden Boy overstates his “strengths” and surely discounts his shortcommings Like I said, I don’t blame Wilder! But I do have to be amused about the attempt to turn this guy into a mythical poor excuse of a dang stereotype! The speculation doesn’t cease! This guy has fought tomato cans! He has avoided anybody that will meet him individually on level ground that can fight! The hype will mountain to the point that money, the media, the boxing fraternity and magicians alike will influence the outcome of a fight with a worthy pug who otherwise would kick his a–! I blame the movers and shakers of this “sport” that want to hypnotize the public against the obvious! A guy named travis Walker wasn’t ever afraid to meet anybody in the ring! He had beat some great fighters, tangled with Champions and lost some! Nevermind the Amatuers! The Travis Walker’s have kept this game breathing!Posted August 11, 2013 11:38 pm
The pleasure was all ours, Turtle!!
You were very energetic and entertaining!! We would love to have another conversation before the Mayweather/Canelo fight!!
I love all of the reality shows on the History channel…I will especially be looking forward to this upcoming season of the Ax Men!!
Thanks again, brother!!Posted August 11, 2013 10:33 pm
I see Good
Thank You for letting me talk on your show. You are a very nice person but I am NOT buying the HYPE on WILDER. Hes FOUGHT nobodies 29/0 .. Severine from Canada has only 20 amature fights (NOT COUNTING THE FIGHTS IN JAIL 2 YEARS) He now is UNDISPUTED LIGHT HEAVY WEIGHT CHAMPION. KNOCKING OUT BAD CHAD DAWSON. Severine GOT propper coaching under Emanuel Stewart (RIP) and Sugar Hill. JUST like KLITCHKO look where he is TODAY. On the WAY up KLITCHKO didnt have a 29/0 record fighting NOBODIES like WILDER.. Its been a LONG time since the USA has had a HW champion and it LOOKS like it will be another decade before the USA has a CHAMPION in the HW division. I HOPE Canelo WINS.. Eitherway it ISNT a HAND PICK FIGHT this time Cherrypicker is fighting a guy with SKILLS for a change and Canelo isnt OLD PAST HIS PRIME collectting OLD AGE PENSION like FLOYDS past fights. I only HOPE Canelo hires an OLYIMPIC TRACK coach to build STAMINA chasing the coward around the RING NOT wanting to fight. Thanks again Joe for having me on your SHOW and PLEASE watch my SHOW on TV . Now that YOU know what SHOW I am on PEACE Brother and ALL the BEST you are a GENTLEMAN . thanks TURTLEPosted August 11, 2013 9:39 pm
