Hell, more fighters should blaze it up. Seems they get bolder with who they want to fight. ” Oh yea yea. I fight Kovalev and Vitali too. But before I reetire I want to knockout jackie chan also. Si si yea yea.”

he just wants money. the fight would be stopped early by TKO because of too much punishment.

You just proved you are one of the big hypocrite here on ESB.Are you not the one pushing Martinez, Canelo, to fight Floyd?”

No. I’m not “pushing” for either fight at all. Mayweather/Alvarez is already happening. That was a given after Canelo defeated Trout. I haven’t been pushing for Martinez to fight Floyd either. I might have mentioned it or discussed it a bit, but I haven’t pushed it at all. Now, back before Martinez had difficulty with Barker, Chavez, and Murray, I thought a Mayweather/Martinez fight made total sense. But not anymore, even if Martinez has a distinct weight advantage. Martinez is clearly on the decline. But if Floyd makes a fight with him, it will be for the PPVs, and the overall purse–not because Martinez is any longer the “best” opponent for Mayweather.

I like Chavez Jr but to think he stands a chance against Golovkin, I don;t think so.. Junior keep on working on your trade, pick your fights but dont be careless in doing so. You’ll be a champ again but I dont see you ever being a super star or legend as your father was . It’s enjoying to see you fight but don;t let it go to your head, Fight a couple more years then retire, you’ll make millions in the process … PEACE

Squared-Circle Real Talk (a.k.a. The Lion King of Beat Street)

Yes, Silva is one the greatest MMA Champions in history. However, I never liked all of his over-the-top showboating and other classless acts — like refusing to touch gloves just before fights.

He fought that way his entire career, but all that showboating finally caught-up to him in a bad way tonight. When you’re defending your title vs. elite competition from all over the world, you can’t afford to fight that way.

Sooner or later it will catch up to you, and that’s exactly what happened to Silva. But Weidman offered Silva a rematch and he outright refused it. He basically said that he had a great run, but that Chris is the new MW World Champion now. Historic and Incredible!

Anderson Silva got KTFO! !!!!!! You’re next Mayweather! !!!!!!!!!!

Posted July 7, 2013 1:57 am

Chavez Jr thinks he can KO Golovkin right after he takes another hit from the Bong!

Sup….Yea….Yea I could KO him. My Power at 200 pounds man.
Yea no sweat…

American Chris Weidman just KTFO of the great Anderson Silva!!!

Great job, Chris, on bringing the MMA MW Championship of the World Title/Strap back to the USA!

Silva said that he DOES NOT want a rematch with Weidman.

The hypocrites are those who boast about Floyd and Broner getting ranked at bigger weights but then making excuses when they duck challenges at those same weights

Posted July 6, 2013 3:00 pm

Supreme court: I have maybe advocated the Canelo fight but notwith anyone coming in at “175 lbs.” I don’t like that sort of thing either. Trout and Canelo were about the same weight too. I think in the upcoming fight we’ll know how much each of these guys will weigh once it’s time to get in the ring, everyone will be curious. They generally don’t let us have that knowledge but they should. Wonder how much Floyd weighed when the rubber finally hit the road against JMM? Anyway boxing has gotten too out of hand with this sort of thing. But Chavez isn’t a MW anymore and should move on with his life if he can’t hold himself at that level rather than calling out the guys who can. Besides, GGG doesn’t need Junior.

Supreme Court, Floyd is ranked and has been fighting at both 147 and “154” for years

Two hypocrites on this site.
Both have been advocating 172lber-fight night-Canelo, 175lber-fight night- Martinez to fight 150lber-fight night-Floyd!
Now, people, who are not blindfolded have noted that GGG need to fight someone who can punch back, and all for a sudden, these “simple minds” revert to their natural state of intellectual “scammers”….

what are the big money fights for GGG?

Sergio Martinez? Probably.

Canelo? Yes.

Floyd? Is hard to think that fight will happen or almost any opponent that can’t draw a big enough crowd given Floyd’s contract he has to live up to. As well as the danger in fighting GGG.

Posted July 6, 2013 12:07 pm

He wont mention ward. Lol!

Posted July 6, 2013 12:06 pm

I think he’s got plenty of work at MW. He could unify the division or he could take on the Floyd-Canelo winner. Junior is getting to big and is now probably living in the past if he’s still thinking about taking on middleweights. He’s more likely a LH now. GGG can make a lot of money without him until he becomes more of a winner.

Posted July 6, 2013 11:46 am

Chavez has plenty of options at 168. surprised he is not calling out Robert Guerrero.

Posted July 6, 2013 11:35 am

Chavez might help boost GGG’s Name and Finances though so why not? GGG fights often enough that he can fit it in.

Posted July 6, 2013 11:31 am

I hope GGG isn’t the 666.

This is the too high Crispy Creme version of Chavez Jr. Look at his head an neck, He looks around 190 to 200 pounds and he wants to fight at 160. He must be high, again. Anyways I got GGG whooping that aassss at any weight, Chavez needs to go after martinez who is aging an looking worse for wear these days. Chavez please do your self a favor, Stay off that weed and to much eating.

Posted July 6, 2013 9:44 am

I’d love to see Golovkin in with Chavez Jr because Chavez may be able to smother Golovkin’s power… but it should be at 160.
I know Golovkin has thrown Ward’s name around and he’s been linked by HBO to Froch, but I don’t think he really has any place at super middle (heck, he’s not even a big middleweight… Canelo weighs more than Golovkin on fight nights!)
Do it at 160 Chavez…. try training instead of drinking and smoking pot… does wonders for your weight.

For the most part I agree with you Tark, but I don’t like Martinez and don’t think to highly of him.

Posted July 6, 2013 2:57 am

I don’t really think anybody thought he could box. All he has ever really done was over power his opponents. But it is about time he realized he can’t make 160. Though I think he will have the same problems at 168 because he really does not take his training seriously. And if he did fight GGG I think he may fall right in his hands and he would lose. I would like to see if he would actually get rocked though. We have yet to see that.

Posted July 6, 2013 2:56 am

Chavez Jr is like Jermain Taylor with a better chin… Now that he’s been exposed as a guy who can’t box, he wants to go to 168 — and go from the frying pan into the fire… He forgets that Martinez was a natural 154-pounder and was 38 years old.

He’ll see the same end… The guys at 168 are bigger and punch harder.

The only reason Martinez girl won, is because she was running the whole time, at a faster pace for Martinez’s body, and that finished Martinez. He is no longer a serious contender. I think Martinez have one good fight left, and then retired after he gets knocked out for good. Chavez is still young, and after the loss to Martinez, he should now take training seriously, and be better prepared.

Well there goes Golovkin’s rep for being most avoided. Murray and Chavez Jr. say they want the Fight. …and Martinez says he wants it TOO.

Chaavez jr. = WEED !!!!!!!!!!!

Posted July 6, 2013 12:59 am

“Chavez Jr. might be open to fighting Golovkin at 160, but he prefers 168 so that he’ll be full strength.” It would be foolish for Golovkin to fight Chavez at 168.The only reason Chavez wants to fight at that weight is so he can take advantage of his much greater weight. My money says Chavez would step into the ring weighing around 185 pounds. Chavez is nobody right now but a drug-using has-been. Golovkin shouldn’t even entertainthe thought of fighting Chavez Jr.. Right now, he’s got bigger fish to fry.

BTW, Porky Pig (Chavez Jr. )looks terrible with that beard and bug eyes.

160 is one thing and 168 is another and Chavez Jr. can punch as well We still havent seen Golovkin in there with a solid puncher and Chavez can bang hard especially to the body. This will be a big test for Golovkin and a very good fight!

Posted July 5, 2013 10:33 pm

Martinez was able to bust Chavez up though he never had him wobbled or hurt, he is an easy target to hit, but up until now Chavez has been fighting mw who hit like mw, in Golovkin he will be fighting a mw who hits like a cruiserweight..

Posted July 5, 2013 10:30 pm

GGG by savage k/o at any weight they want to make… Dude spars with heavyweights, and holds his own! Doubt Arum will let this fight happen. Better make the Martinez rematch, since he looked pretty bad in his last fight… Golovkin could be a career ender!

Chavez Jr can fight Golovkin at 200 and he would still get TKO’d!

That’s right this fight if it happens would never be a KO it would a TKO he would be destroyed he is a stationary target like a Giant Punching Bag for GGG!

Posted July 5, 2013 9:41 pm

chavez has outgrown mw. Fighting GGG at smw may be his best chance at defeating GGG. At 160 he will get murdered! GGG may not bring his power w him if he moves up to 168. We will see if he decides to do so

Posted July 5, 2013 9:34 pm

@ sc – be cool big dog! Dont let these suckas get you out your zone! Remembet your always a gentlement and a boss playa! Mad respect to u!

Dang, ChavezJr does not look good here. Double chin and eyes are not straight, almost crossed eye. What the heck happened to him? I would have given him a chance if he looked like the Chavez that almost beat Martinez in the 12th round but without the marijuana fumes in his brain.

Chavez Jr.’s babysitters will never let him near a grown man like Golovkin. Still, I wouldn’t mind seeing it. But not at 168. The only reason Chavez wants to fight there is so he can indulge his munchies during ‘training camp’.

I would love to see this fight take place but it won’t. Arum will not let it happen because he knows that “triple G” will end Chavez’s career. I agree that Chavez coming in at 180 (as usual) won’t matter. No one could convince me that Chavez could bet Golovkin-no way! Ia it possible that Chavez is just talking because he knows that Arum won’t let this fight happen? Someone should open Chavez’s eyes to the reality that he’s not as good or as popular as he thinks he is. He’s an over-stuffed daddy’s boy fighting smaller guys. That’s it.
