Does not any boxer learn from the past Robinson Louis Tyson Holyfield all spent money on ridiculas stuff made horrible investments and when the big paydays stop they are BROKE.There will be a time when the 20 30 million dollar paydays for a fight stop and you will have to live by your means boxers seem to know only 2 ways rich or broke I read now Micheal Spinks is down to his last $100.000 spending so much money on cars and investing nothing.

shocking article…shocking views from the so called writer.

Ernie Enema Schnozzle… If you want to do the planet Earth a favor.. Just die.

That’s the best thing you could possibly do.

DEEBROWN…..Noble sentiments and ones I agree with, yes you can write of some of your wealth to charity. The trouble is every pound you send gets divided by people so that when it gets to the recipient it about 10p….

Posted June 29, 2013 3:16 am

Love big spenders, they are what makes this world turn, like em or hate them we are still drawn to them and some of the really big ones are awesomely inspiring …..So next time you see someone loaded remember there but for the Grace of God….Like a friend of mine said years ago to a braggart who had just made his first million…”I’ll toss you for it,heads or tails”………

Posted June 29, 2013 3:05 am

I can fully understand one enjoying their hard earned riches.. but if I was fortunate enough to be in his shoes, financially speaking, I really would try house and help feed ALOT of starving people from around the world. I mean most of it would be tax right offs. SO he could literally change millions of lives and FAST also. But why all these MULTI millionaires can’t do it. I mean it isn’t buying them flashy things.. providing food for example would be a HUGE move and honorable.

Squared-Circle Real Talk (a.k.a. The Lion King of Beat Street)

RIP, Ernie. I had no idea that you’re an elderly man with such terrible health problems. I always figured that you were a teenage troll who posts on ESB in between playing video games and jerkin’ off to internet porn.

As Ivan Drago said in Rocky IV: If he dies, he dies…

But that’s probably sounds a bit too harsh, so good luck with the operation. If it turns out to be time to meet your maker… see you on the side, man.

Floyd may be the big spender but the K bros are the biggest influence in our gym for the amateurs. All our guys (and girls) seem to want their education standard, manners and intelligent dialect. I remember talking to a retired company director and he once told me ” for all the money I made and stuff I bought, the best times for me is having friends around a camp fire with a few drinks and camping out under the stars”.

Posted June 28, 2013 8:21 pm

since when did broner get his head on straight

Posted June 28, 2013 6:42 pm

Nope… It won’t happen to Broner. Unlike Holyfield he has his head locked on straight..

Evander will do any gig there is to make money.. He’ll pass out hot towels in the restroom.. He’ll do standup comedy — like his gig on “Dancing with the Stars.”

Posted June 28, 2013 4:23 pm

Floyd spends all his money and ends up like Holyfield/Tyson/Saad/etc. Broner gets to skid row first though.

Posted June 28, 2013 3:32 pm

It’s Me, Ernie

I think Floyd gets the most bang for the buck fighting on Mexican holidays. He knows how to make a buck…

Posted June 28, 2013 12:16 pm

The Voice of Boxing

It is obvious that Saul ALvarez is the one driving the sales on this fight. First, he pulled out of Floyd’s fight to show that by being on the undercard he was actually driving Floyd’s sales up especially fighting on days that are significant to Mexicans. Secondly, because the sales for the Guerrrero fight were so small, (they are still searching for them), Floyd had to come down off his high horse and face Canelo. I know Floyd is steaming because he feels he is boxing. I have news for him, boxing survived before when its biggest stars left and it certainly did when he retired.
For the record, I thought Floyd and his followers said that Canelo was not a PPV Star? Would one of you please explain why there is so much buzz about this fight? Floyd has not been outrageous like he normally is. Apart from talking about Manny as he usually does, most of the attraction has been on Canelo. There are more fans everywhere who are screaming for him. So please tell me, why does Floyd always fight on Mexican dates, against Mexican or Latinos and also loads up on Latinos, especially Mexicans? Because he wants to say he is a huge star, that’s why!!!!!

If I had that much cash I`d pay to remake “The Hunger Games”.

Scene 1: Jennifer Lawrence walks in and says “I`m hungry”
I whup out the trouser snake, and say “eat this”

She does for 90 minutes.

Maybe have some tigers snorting coke in the background too.

Posted June 27, 2013 10:30 pm

Exiled Yank

This matters…? Holyfield was a big a spender, Tyson owned lions and tigers, DLH likes coke and hookers…

Posted June 27, 2013 11:54 am

If I had Floyd’s money I would….. Hell, there aint no telling what I would do! I do know that I would have uninhibited fun, doing basically anything I want to do! I’m sure my activities would be a little different from Floyd’s (especially the drinking habits), but life is short and you can’t take it with you. “Doing the things I know and love with those of my kind, libations, sensations, that standard of mine! That’s a verse from Steely Dan in case some of you youngins’ don’t know. Deacon Blues!

Posted June 27, 2013 11:19 am

We don’t hear about him anymore, wonder how he’s doing?

Posted June 27, 2013 10:01 am

I think Holyfield was a bigger spender.

Posted June 27, 2013 9:59 am

He’s Chris Eubank all over again !

Posted June 27, 2013 7:53 am

The guy who impresses me is Warren Buffett… He’s given 10’s of billions to charities and foundations, and still lives in the same house he bought 50 years ago… Wears a 60 dollar watch.. Drives a car that’s 6 years old… He could have retired 40 years ago on several billion dollars but he still works a 50+hour week well into his 80’s because he enjoys his job… Plus there’s about 200,000 people who work for his far flung companies and he feels an obligation to them… 2 years ago he selected his successor, but says the man will have to wait until he feels like retiring.

It’s good to be your own boss and to love the way he runs the business.

Gonzo the Dragonborn

The people who need help are the ones who are impressed by these shallow and vain uncouth swines who flaunt their wealth in such ugly and vulgar fashion. That’s what I’m talking about. Real talk. Earth, Wind & Fire ft. Gene Hackman on tenor sax, Pol Pot on bassoon, & Guillermo Jones on clarinet

Gonzo the Dragonborn

I gotta be real with ya’ll here. I’m both deeply impressed and insanely jealous of Floyd’s wealth and material possessions. Truth be told it kills me inside to see a brotha with opinion livin’ it up and getting a taste of the good life. Oh how I desperately yearn to live Lifestyle Flashy. I wish I was surrounded by hordes of sycophants who laugh hysterically at my painfully unfunny jokes. Why can’t I drape myself in gaudy jewellery and sup on Cristal and Hennessy and have underage rappers nosh me off in the back of my Hummer too? Boo hoo life is so unfair. :(

Squared-Circle Real Talk (a.k.a. The Lion King of Beat Street)

I would guess that Lil’ Floyd blows most of his loot on countless blinged-out watches, blood-diamonds, platinum and gold chains and jewry; pedicures, manicures, haircuts, clothes and expensive French perfumes. Oh yeah… and on having his eyebrows and entire body waxed every other day — so that it’s always perfectly hairless and shiny.

Cat probably has about 500 pairs of shoes that he buffs and shines-up every day in between his workouts at the gym. The “Amelie De Marco” of Las Vegas… LOL.

I thought this article couldn’t get any dumber. Then hecdog showed up bellowing his Jesus b.s. seriously get a life. And stay away from little boys.

Posted June 26, 2013 8:13 pm

please you think he makes money gambling? He just brags about his big wins. I guarantee he loses more than he makes. This lifestyle will be his downfall … I see another Mike tyson/Evander Holyfield/Countless other boxers that made 100’s of millions in their careers and ended up broke. In fact i’ll be very surprised if that doesn’t happen

Posted June 26, 2013 8:09 pm

Does it make him interesting or does it just make him a Kardashian?

Posted June 26, 2013 8:04 pm

But It doesn’t bother me if Floyd enjoys his riches, more power to him…

Posted June 26, 2013 8:03 pm

“Aside being the top paid athlete in the world…” not according with ESPN-the money issue- dated june24, 2013, the #1 paid athlete worldwide is Pacquiao with 52 million; Floyd was #6 with 32 million…

Posted June 26, 2013 8:00 pm

It Floyd’s time… He’s enjoying his run… It’s been 16 years and it’s still getting better… When it’s over it’s over.

I remember Joe Frazier telling Vitali Klitschko… “It’s your time Vitali.. You’re the greatest heavyweight in the world today… Live it up NOW, because when your day is over it’s over… nobody has to tell you… It’s not a happy day. Take advantage of your status today… all the adulation… all the glory… all the money that’s thrown at you… grab it all… It’s fleeting man — so enjoy your run as much as you possibly can.”

Posted June 26, 2013 7:41 pm

“Mayweather Jr. is by far the most interesting character in the sport of boxing in recent history.” If you say so, Vitali.

Posted June 26, 2013 7:25 pm

It’s his own money. Who cares what he does with it.

Posted June 26, 2013 7:16 pm

As I’ve always said. Floyd Mayweather is a man that makes his money and materials his Gods. I feel sorry for him because he let fame and fortune tell him who he is. Floyd gave into temptation, and he can’t even see it. He is a jealous, envious and selfish person that loves power. Forget about his boxing skills, he’s good, but he has no class or character. What profits a man if he gains the whole world but loses his soul? I will be praying for this man.

Mayweather will keep training, money second.

EXACTLY what is the point of this article, that’s what’s wrong with the world now we value people on what they have not on the actual person we are, again were all gods children Floyd isn’t no better than any of us.
