Youknowwhoiam Well said brother, I have been SAYING this for the past 10 years. looks like some of the PUBLIC is starting to SEE this.Posted July 15, 2013 4:14 pm
Excuses are those used by Floyd to did not face prime world champions at their weights.Posted June 15, 2013 4:48 pm
Doesnt matter. Floyd will beat him at 170 or 160 due to skills, athleticism, and experience. Not saying these fighters are Canelo, but Ortiz, Baldimor, and Cotto were all around 165.Posted June 15, 2013 3:27 pm

I see ALL the CHERRY PICKERS Fans a LOT WORRIED now. WHY???? Because its NOT a EASY hand pick fight thats WHY.. Is CHERRY PICKER a great FIGHTER??? YEs and YES and more YES.. Every match he had was with a OLD shop WORN out fighters. I never watch many of his fights because they were a mismatch. Christ CHERRY PICKER carried most of them. Cherry Picker could of KNOCK out 90% of them in earlier rounds. (Hand pick fights thats expected) Cherry Picker STAY AWAY from PACMAN TO DANGEROUS!!!!! I honestly believe CHERRY PICKER would of beaten him anyways NO PROBLEM. (I am NOT a cherry picker fan either) But the SHOE is now on the other foot, Its CHERRY PICKER that is OLD!!!! Foot speed NOT there. stands in the pocket more now. (JUST RIGHT FOR CANELOS RIPPING BLOWS!!!!) This will be a HUGE P4V. fight I will ORDER IT MYSELF.. Why???? Because Cherry picker is FIGHTING a BOXER PUNCHER YOUNG STRONG and ALWAYS getting better and Better each fight. It will be WORTH the money NOT a EASY WALK over WIN for CHERRY PICKER.. It could go either way. But being a betting man, my money is on CANELO. Boxtradamous You scare me, I HOPE you are RIGHT. If you are then YOU are the greatest FIGHT PROPHET . Kudoos to you.Posted June 15, 2013 3:08 pm

People OUT there REMEMBER Cherry Picker is NOT young anymore either. Cherry Picker stands MORE flat footed. EASY picking for Canelo. Cherry Picker can be HIT. Old Shop WORN Mosley PROVED that. Canelos hand speed isnt exactly SLOW either. CANELO needs conditioning thats for sure. Boxtradmous YOU the man You the man. YOU see things 90% of these idiots MISS including myself… HOW many people PREDICTED Marquez KNOCKING OUT PACMAN????????????????????????? NOBODY seen that comming NOBODY. I am STILL amazed. You the man You the man. I bow to you SIR.Posted June 15, 2013 2:19 pm

Canelo dont make the RULES.. He weighs in at 152 thats all that matters. I can see CHERRY PICKER getting an ass whipping. Cherry Pickers 0 will go. ha ha ha ha. Cherry Picker did NOT have to except this fight he chose to. The PUBLIC has woken up to CHERRY PICKERS hand CHOSEN fights.Posted June 15, 2013 2:11 pm

@Pete Wells – You are right they will always come up with excuses especially the midgets fans they got nothing to do but hate and get more bitter as Money May keeps on winning and breaking record after record.Posted June 15, 2013 7:02 am
The real question should be”Will Floyd gett any credit” for beating a younger, stronger fighter? I say no, haters will come up with all kinds of excusss once Floyd schools this kid. Then the topic will be back to that doped up Pacroid who wjll be willing to take 4 mil for a fight he coukd bave made 40mil……..Posted June 15, 2013 2:42 am
the writer is worried about the weight? Is not there a weight limit for jr. middle weight división? Will be the first time that the weight session is a day before the fight?Posted June 15, 2013 1:15 am
The old cherrypicker against the Young cherrypicker. Two overhyped “idols” made by the media in a fight required by the media. One is all excitement… out of the ring, once above is all cautions and boring. But the media describe that as the last art work of Picasso. The other is an untested white star boxing fighting no real threats and trying to make money as soon as posible. Even could be a fixed fight…. great.Posted June 15, 2013 1:09 am
Canelo winPosted June 15, 2013 12:21 am
I wonder if Pac is still on drugs.Posted June 14, 2013 9:49 pm
Alvarez In my opinion needs 2 cone In lighter than usual….he needs better footwork and faster hands… Having said that I can’t c him getting Mayweather on the ropes, still very interested as 2 Alvarez fight plan plays out…Posted June 14, 2013 8:50 pm
I don’t see Canelo having much luck in winning but hey I never gave Sanders a chance with Big Klitschko and he wasted him. I think Canelo only has a chance within the first 6 rds….I don’t care if he arrives at the ring at 200LBS he best get busy before the tank runs out on him.Posted June 14, 2013 8:31 pm
Canelo is gonna look like jailbait in there with Floyd, I just don’t understand how you guys don’t see how slow genus compared to FMJ…. Te Tumbo I don’t think Floyds best weight is above 147 but he’s still always found a way to win, Alvarez is gonna he schooled in better fashion than Cotto and Oscar he does not know what he’s up against!Posted June 14, 2013 7:26 pm
This will be no boxing clinic… Thats what they said about Trout-Canelo.. Canelo has great speed and great weapons.. Hid defense is superb. This will be a hotly contested fight and Canelo will be in right in there, probably with fairly tight scoring, and extremely dangerous for 12 rounds … I see 115-113 scores either way, and no wider than 116-112 unless you have a blind judge or 2 … not that that ever happens.
I would love it to be open scoring … so the fighter who’s down can step it up.Posted June 14, 2013 6:48 pm
Also they felt the fight between Canelo was inevitable since everybody wants to see that fight. And they figure lets fight Canelo now before he gets better and i get older and its as simple as that.Posted June 14, 2013 5:57 pm
Titopa you are trippin dude. First off ,Mayweather wanted Canelo at 147 and was reluctant to fight him at 154. Showtime has a 5 fight contract with mayweather, no other fight made sense at the time for Mayweather and Showtime that would genertae the type of income they need since the Guerrero vs mayweather fight was a dud in PPV numbers. Mayweather and his team probably figure those two extra lbs can really weaken Canelo, both physically and stamina wise. All they did was try to find and exploit a weakeness in Canelo and by him agreeing to lose an extra two lbs they did so. Canelo is a lot tougher fight then Cotto was against Mauweather youll see.Posted June 14, 2013 5:21 pm
fake enough for you to comment on,means you visit here alot so how fake can it be?!?Posted June 14, 2013 3:51 pm
Tim – Agreed! Floyd chose 152lbs cause he knows that those 2lbs will mean that Canelo will probably gain MORE weight after the weigh in, they might even HOPE he comes in as heavy as possible….that’ll only add weight to his feet, which will make him slower and easier to hit.Posted June 14, 2013 2:48 pm
CORRECTAMUNDO – Fury is a knockout waiting to happen, Floyd’s chin is PROVEN…plus, Floyd’s defense is damn near PERFECT.Posted June 14, 2013 2:47 pm
Won’t matter…Canelo’s too slow, hand and foot, not skilled enough and most importantly, not experienced enough to handle Floyd….I’ve always said (and most agree) Floyd will NOT fight someone he’s not sure he can beat, he CHOSE Canelo for a reason, he KNOWS he can win….and I expect him to, in the same fashion as he won against The Ghost, too fast, too slick, too smart and just TOO GOOD! Floyd via boxing clinic.Posted June 14, 2013 2:45 pm
Contrary to this writer’s opinion, if Canelo comes in that heavy, it will probably be a disadvantage to him. I think he will be too sluggish and slow if he’s that heavy on fight night. Size is not going to win the fight for Canelo. If anything, it would be Canelo’s decent jab, combination punching, and killer punching power to the body. These are qualities needed to beat PBF that many of his recent opponents didn’t bring to the table besides Cotto. And we saw what happened in the Cotto fight, PBF took some punishment even though he won the fight. Canelo’s size isn’t going to be enough fellas. Even though Margarito greatly outweighed Pacman on fight night, it didn’t matter becz he was too slow and Pacman was too fast and skilled. Canelo is a live dog against PBF, but I think he’s a little too green at this point. It would have served him better to wait 1 or 2 more fights and gain more experience. Probably worst of all, Canelo doesn’t seem to have a great gas tank and you can’t beat PBF without a great gas tank unless you land a huge punch.Posted June 14, 2013 2:27 pm
It WILL happen Adrian… Why wouldn’t it??? There’s a ton of money at stake for the promoters and the combatants… This could be the richest fight in Fistic History when all the receipts are counted.Posted June 14, 2013 1:54 pm
Why doesnt the writer write, why did Mayweather ask for Canelo to lose two lbs if the fight is supposed to be for the belt at a limit of 154lbs? Is mayweather scared of Canelo? Those are more legit questions.Posted June 14, 2013 1:53 pm
It’s not the question what weight you come at the night of the fight it is what weight you come at WEIGH IN …those who boxed know how important and hard is to reach the corect weight at a weigh in and for Canelo to drop another two pounds it could be a big challenge because the training will be different than against trout so the writer forgets to mention the catch weight but writes about the weight at the fight if the night non stop and is portraying mayweather as someone who is giving up something wich in fact is Canelo who is fighting lower than his weight were he owns a belt so does mayweather ….
Anyway I am convinced this fight won’t happen !Posted June 14, 2013 1:44 pm
Canelo can weight 300 pounds and even then Money May will kick his assPosted June 14, 2013 1:41 pm
Tumbo’s analysis was better than yours…
Floyd is not going to waste Canelo… He’s not going to shred his face to ribbons… Exploit gaps in his offense… Exploit his “terrible” stamina… Exploit his “SLOOOOWWW” transitions between offense and defense… Or have Canelo looking like Arthur Abraham with a cork up his butt.
Those are all fantasies of Floydiots like Sredmond … people who can’t think clearly because their snoots are firmly planted up Floyd’s behind. Even if Floyd could be called the GOAT for his accomplishments so far—he can still be beaten.
But a lot of these neophytes like Sredmond haven’t been around look enough to see Sugar Ray Robinson get his ass handed to him by journeyman Ralph Jones… See Sugar Ray Leonard be humiliated by Terry Norris… see the great Jose Napoles get hammered by the ridiculously unskilled John Stracy… or see Mike Tyson get out-boxed, out-punched, and taken apart by 42:1 underdog—the mentally weak Buster Douglas … Public opinion is often dead wrong.Posted June 14, 2013 1:33 pm

How many times is this guy Smith going to regurgitate this topic….write something worth reading alreadyPosted June 14, 2013 1:31 pm
Boxtra…, Canelo is not going to beat Floyd using the same dirty tactics Fury used to overpower Cunningham… This fight is in Las Vegas where Floyd rules supreme… Canelo has to beat him clean because he’s not going to be allowed to man-handle him like Guerrero man-handled Berto… Robert Byrd laid the law down on Guerrero to an extreme.Posted June 14, 2013 1:30 pm
Canelo needs to watch Fury vs. Cunningham where SIZE defeated SKILLS and see what tactics he can employ from that.Posted June 14, 2013 1:15 pm
REDMOND, Mayweather has NEVER performed with the quickness and hustle you describe at 154lbs. it’s the primary reason that I’ve been saying I no longer want to watch him fight ANYbody above 147lbs, which is his standing concession to overmatched 140lbrs, which is his optimal fighting weight. at 154lbs, even Floyd becomes a slow and somewhat ponderous defensive fighter. he’s not going to risk exchanges v. the bigger, stronger, and just as quick if not quicker Canelo. Mayweather will attempt to drain the steam out of Canelo in the early rounds before pot-shotting to victory in the late rounds for another boring UD. THAT is Mayweather’s profile above 154lbs.Posted June 14, 2013 12:00 pm
Tark, creating FALSE attributes for Canelo is NOT gonna make him a better fighter… I thought he won but I also thought those judges mailed it in EARLY…. Even you in your clouded brain has gone on the record and noted those scores were out of WACK… They gave Canelo a prohibitive lead that changed the complexion of the bout from one where he had to fight to win where he just had to stay on his feet… Its a FACT that Trout outworked him despite Canelos heavier shots when he did land… The gaps in his offense, his questionable stamina, his SLOW transitions between offense and defense are gonna have him looking like Arthur Abraham against Mayweathers lightening QUICK right hand leads and counters… I see you wanting to build intrigue and despite how detached from reality you often are I respect you wanting to see a GOOD fight but Canelo is in WAY over his head and Floyd is gonna DROWN him…. He will NOT do as well as Cotto or Oscar he lacks the skill and craft….I know you think Canelo is as good as Oscar which is ridiculous considering the GAP in competition his 50 miles wide and I know you will reference Oscars promotional BS to sell the fight but Canelo lacks the World Class experience to trouble Mayweather….His body mass and youth are the ONLY things that are likely gonna allow him to finish…Posted June 14, 2013 11:58 am
Alvarez deserves NO excuse and NO mercy for whats gonna happen to him in September… He is MUCH younger and MUCH bigger than Floyd Mayweather….So when he is getting punched in the face at will, out quicked, out thought and out fought the reason will be he lacks the skills and athletic talent to compete with one of histories BEST Boxers…Pinning his hopes on his 43 prior opponents is FOOLISH their quality PEAKS at a newbie like Austin Trout who is about HALF the boxer Floyd Mayweather is and extends to washed up fighters like Shane Mosley and Cintron who were both losing LEFT and Right when Canelo fought them… I think Alvarez is a Very Good Young fighter…I bet on him to beat Trout but I have seen enough of his bouts to know that he is NOT gonna be able to even compete with Floyd Mayweather… Get Ready to die ANOTHER Death Haters… Its “Ground Hog Day” AGAIN FMJ UD 12 or FMJ TKO later rounds…. Canelos an EASY mark…Posted June 14, 2013 11:46 am
BTW… This pundit has written a dozen articles on this fight and they all say basically the same thing, “Canelo is probably too big for the junior middleweight division. If Mayweather were a natural 170 pounder facing Canelo at the same weight, it wouldn’t be a fight in my estimation because Canelo would have no advantage aside from his age, which isn’t an advantage all due to his poor stamina.”
He’s too big for the Jr. Middleweight division??? That’s funny…because Alvarez is undefeated in 43 fights at Jr. Middleweight and lower—but I guess he just can’t make the weight and be strong.
Alvarez has no stamina issues. He showed no stamina issues in the Trout fight—where he rehydrated 18 pounds. If a fighter is gasping for air… turning red… unable to defend himself… showing signs of distress and fatigue… falling off his stool between rounds from utter exhaustion… an undefeated, 5’ !0” X 171-pound, resolute world champion would take advantage of Saul’s condition—by mounting a withering assault and scoring a cataclysmic KO.Posted June 14, 2013 10:53 am
Alvarez was fresh as a daisy throughout the 12 rounds. Trout couldn’t penetrate Saul’s defense with effective leads or counters. The bigger, taller, and more mature Trout was shocked and amazed.
Austin Trout was interviewed right after the fight, “I was shocked!!! I was really shocked.” … Trout admitted being surprised by Canelo’s speed, craft, defensive finesse, punching range, versatility of skills, and punching power.
Trout wasn’t particularly amazed by the skills of ATG 3-Division World Champion Miguel Cotto—not while he was beating the living tar out of Cotto. That pounding was just another day at the office for Trout…
But Floyd WAS shocked and amazed by Cotto, “You’re the toughest man I ever fought.” Okay…so what do we have here… Floyd was impressed by Cotto… Trout was unimpressed with Cotto… But Trout was amazed by Alvarez… Hmmm…This is really a tough one to figure.Posted June 14, 2013 10:51 am
funniest shi-ite in the world.dudes coming in at 170 for this.same ‘ol,same ‘ol.there’s going to be some moments in this one.look for floyd to go down for 1st time in career only to get up and finish an fatigued canelo in 11 rounds.Posted June 14, 2013 10:29 am
fightin solves all
he will need to def stay under 170 to be able to hang with pbf or floyd will embarrass the heck outa him with speed and movement. i think if he stays right around 165-168 it will be a great fight with floyd still winning but much more competitive than if canelo gets too heavy after weigh inPosted June 14, 2013 10:25 am
Unless there’s a weight clause, Canelo isn’t going to worry about coming in at a certain weight in order to be as fast as possible. He going try and come on as comfortable as possible, which appears to be in their 170’s.Posted June 14, 2013 10:08 am

No more than 162lbs??? I dont know. But I know for sure it will be under 170.Posted June 14, 2013 9:33 am
If canelo is smart he will come into this fight no heavier than 162. mayweather is hoping he comes in heavy so that he can blow him out.Posted June 14, 2013 8:28 am
I don’t think he’ll be over 165 as he’s going to need speed against Floyd. Against Trout he needed the extra pounds to ensure he had the power to handle the bigger opponent, but he show signs of exhaustion by round six or seven.
Against Floyd, he needs to be a lot more mobile, which translate lighter on his feet. If he comes in at 170+, he may find himself exhausted and Floyd will no doubt take advantage of that. Weighing in at 170 may not be an advantage on this fight. His biggest issue may be overtraining.Posted June 14, 2013 7:48 am
easily over 170+ unless there’s a weight gain clause we were not made aware of…Posted June 14, 2013 6:36 am
jab jab grab
I think because he’s being made to weigh in at 152 will mean he cant afford to pack too much weight on,a bit is ok but packing on 20lb in a day could have a detrimental effect, 167 would be about right. +15 from weigh in.Posted June 14, 2013 5:15 am
