Brazilian Boxing fan is right–it should be Povo first then Pulev, no one wants to see haye pussing around the ring again

He’d done a lot better against Pulev. Haye will ko furry.

Fury vs Haye is a huge fight in England. A legit Superfight there. If that happens it’ll be must-see TV. I’ll believe it when the contracts are signed.

Time is on young Tyson’s side; Mick Hennessey isn’t going to risk putting his prime earner in against guys like Pulev or Haye who might beat him. Fury will fight in July or August to keep his momentum going. However, he’ll probably face another experienced (but safer) B-level opponent.

Fury would lose to Pulev, he would lose to Haye and he would even lose to Price. Fury will take on Toney Thompson and after a close decision proclaim himself to be the greatest. What a joke

dave o, you’re wrong. the next fight after povetkin is the winner of pulev vs whoever. about 4 or 5 month after. february or march. fury talk a good game. wanting to fight klitschko. all he had to do was to beat pulev. and he would be klitschko next fight after povetkin. someone said below that they are not to impress with pulev. making dimitrenko and unstov quit in the 11 round is impressing.i see fury also quiting before the final bell ring

Haye would knock Fury senseless as soon as he lands something big. TIMBER!!!

If Fury refuses to fight Pulev to determine Wlad´s mandatory challenger, I believe that Pulev must fight the winner of the W. Klitschko-Povetkin fight. Pulev paid his dues and he deserves the shot. I want Wlad to beat povetkin in October and then, to see Wlad vs. Pulev in early 2014. Say, April or May.

I don’t think that Fury can last long with Haye, but the Cunningham and Pajkic fights showed that Fury could be knocked out for a lot less money. At top level, every fight carries risk. Why not take good money along with the risk? Tyson, take the Haye fight, but hold out for an even split. You are, at least, half the attraction.

Haye vs Fury could do with a decent title on the line, so how about Haye/Pulev or even price 1st?

Posted June 3, 2013 2:53 am

aj1575

It will be interesting to see how smart Fury is. Haye is good in knocking out boxers who fight offensive and charge forward, but in a stupid one dimensional way (just look at Ruiz or Chisora). Put him in the ring with smart boxer, and he will have more problems. If Fury can adjust to Haye, then I see a good chance that he can beat him. But somehow I have the feeling that Fury will just try to overpower Haye, and run into a counterpunch.

Posted June 3, 2013 2:45 am

aj1575

I also think that it was a wise decision to not fight Pulev. Fury could only lose in this fight, because everybody expected him to win this one. It is hard to tell how good Fury really is; one thing is for sure, he is not the cautious type of fighter. This is something that could hurt him, if he fights that way against a Haye, who is an excellent counter boxer, or a Klitschko who take advantage everytime you open your guard.
Anyway, I like Fury and his style. He is entertaining, and I hope he will knock down Haye for good.

As much as I would love to see this fight I don’t understand why fury would avoid pulev over haye? Though haye is small for a heavy weight he hits very hard and very fast and is hard to it too. So if klichkow can’t KO haye how can fury? This will be an excellent match up but haye is far to good for fury and will KO him early and hard.

Fury to knock out Haye ? Isn’t Haye a little bit too fast for Fury ?

Posted June 2, 2013 10:39 am

Grant Watson

Fury to knock out haye in eight rounds. Fury is the real deal and hayewill feel the full weight of his shots. Haye did well to ko derek chisora but fury is so much bigger and better than chisora. I can even see fury getting put down and coming back to win. I know one thing, i will be buying a ticket should the fight happen.

Posted June 2, 2013 10:13 am

Bill Patrice Jones

Adrian. I don’t think Fury is capable of staying out of danger if Haye is intent on engaging him in the first 5 rounds. Fury is an underrated boxer, and can definately put together impressive combinations and punch numbers for a man of his size. He looked very good against Maddalone and Johnson, and in parts against Chisroa, and when I first saw him live I never dreamed he would ever box like that. However, being able to keep someone at distance with a jab and one two combos is one thing, Fury doesn’t have the reflexes, talent or footspeed to deliberately avoid Haye’s punches. Fury’s only chance would be to hit and hold, smother and wrestle Haye in the early going. This would make for a short and ugly fight. Haye HATES being clinched. He avoided them all night against Valuev and preferred collapsing to the mat than being held even once by Wladimir. Haye is physically strong, he will push Fury off or just avoid it altogether. Fury has natural aggressive instincts he’s NEVER going to be able to rid himself of. He will try to engage Haye in the first few rounds at least a few times and when he does Haye will spark him out. Chisora’s looping, only fairly powerful, hooks got Fury in trouble in the second round. Chisora is NOT a puncher like Haye/Arreola/Peter/Stiverne etc. I don’t think this lucrative bout will happen.

I know Fury wont go in there go ho like he did with Cunningham if he were to fight Haye, but even if he gets tagged with half the shot Cunningham hit him with from Haye he would stay down, if Wlad couldnt avoid getting hit once or twice with some good clean shots Fury sure wont..

Posted June 2, 2013 8:58 am

Bill Patrice Jones

Adrian, Haye doesn’t necessarily avoid people who can’t punch, as much as he has always avoided proven hard hitting tough guys who can walk through a huge shot and punch back with menace. Price, Fury and Wilder I imagine will all be proven to have questionable punch resistance. Fury has been down alot already, and Price was obliterated by decent punching Thompson. Wilder hasn’t been hurt yet, but he hasn’t been hit either. Helenius has an excellent chin, but the stunning power he had in 2009-2011 has dissapeared. His injuries have made him a shell of his former self in record quick time. The people Haye avoided were: Sam Peter, Chris Arreola, Odlanier Solis, David Tua etc. They were bad matchups for him and he knew it. Those guys only look slow when facing men much taller than they are. I don’t think Haye would have the slightest problem with Fury because he would unquestionably be able to tag him, and unquestionably be able to knock him out. Valuev and Ruiz had very very proven chins

i think there is one person on here who thinks fury might actually make it into the 2nd round versus haye but they are basing that on the cunningham fight which would be a bad example but either way fury gets knocked out. i dont see what the big fuss is about Fury can fight either Haye or pulev in an eliminatior ( haye is WBA no 1) and can earn at least 3 million vs haye or 100k vs pulev its a no brainer

Posted June 2, 2013 7:54 am

I said a while back Fury would avoid Pulev like the plague. Pulev on his worst day would beat Fury with one hand. Ive watched him from the amateur days and he is one solid fighter. Solid fighter vs sloppy fighter – mismatch. Fury would learn more in getting beat by Pulev than all his other victories put together.

What a terribly written article. Can’t even spell and no explanation behind his prediction other than too skilled. Fury will fight haye because it’s box office and he’ll get ten tines more than fighting Pulev. Also Wlad is due to fight Povetkin so won’t have to take a mandatory for ages. Pulev doesn’t bring money to the table

Posted June 2, 2013 6:52 am

dwc

I think Fury and Pulev would be a good…close fight. If a foucsed well trained Fury showed up for the fight I even think he could nick it.But Haye would beat Fury at this point..to fast..to much skill.Furys best bet at this time is to keep his mouth shut..train VERY hard, and fight guys on the level of Jhonson..Cunnigham..for now.Fury is only 24 and can use a couple of years of strict training and learning not a need to rush, like Price has to do.

Posted June 2, 2013 6:49 am

Bill Patrice . I agree with you that haye can stop anyone because of his athleticism but don’t forget that he would easily get stopped by fighters who can punch in hw devision …that’s why all of his fights he had in hw devision were against guys who couldn’t punch hard exept wlad ,he got dropped against Barrett and I think pulev would be a fought fight for him

Posted June 2, 2013 6:38 am

If Fury took on Pulev and managed to win it would be next year before he gets a world title shot and if he keeps winning against other guys he will talk himself into one anyway. Pulev is a risk for fury. The smart move would be two quick fights back in England say July and Sept against guys like sprott and Tor hammer where he should win both then go back up again level wise at the end of the year. If he wins he will still be in a very good place

Posted June 2, 2013 6:35 am

Bill Patrice Jones

What an atrocious article. There’s no confirmation yet that Fury Pulev is dead in the water, and there hasn’t been the slightest, most nominal, hint which indicates that Haye is a possible opponent. Haye has stated on numerous occasions that he doesn’t want to fight any of the up and coming British heavyweights, and I firmly believe his fight with Charr will get rescheduled. It hasn’t been cancelled. Pulev would probably beat Fury late on in a rough fight. Haye would annihalate Fury, Price, Wilder, Helenius or any other giant up and comer. He’s a level above in terms of athleticism and speed. That’s just the harsh reality of it. Styles make fights, and aside from the Klitschkos, I don’t see any of the other big men being athletic enough to avoid Haye in the early exchanges. Someone as big as Wladimir Klitschko, or Lennox Lewis, and in possession of that much speed, balance, stamina and co-ordination is quite simply the single rarest thing you will ever see in boxing. An earlier version of Wladimir I believe he would have stopped. Haye is very underrated.

It’s official. Fury has a Vag

AssyrianGod to answer your question it’s because of this. Pulev had a fantastic amateur record. He’s just short of 6′ 5″ (Povetkin is about 6′ 2″). Pulev ALWAYS comes in shape (Povetkin is the epitome of hot and cold). He recently knocked out 2 well respected giants (Ustinov and Dimitrenko). He is young and fearless (31 years of age, takes on all comers). He is always calm and composed in the ring. The hallmark of a true seasoned professional. He would school and KO Fury, like he did the last two. He would also school Haye imo, who isn’t a great techincal boxer imo. Haye has power and speed, but no jab and poor defense (poor defense when he’s actually trying to win a fight and not merely survive in it).

Fury wouldn’t beat Pulev, There’s no way. Pulev would have his way with him from the first or second round. Too much pressure, walking down and cutting off the ring along with having a sturdy chin and solid shots to dish out to Fury. There’s a reason Fury said no and it’s not because he thinks he can beat him.

Brit boxing, don’t forget our elderly US boxer, Tony Thompson, who in the first round flattened your undefeated rising star giant in England. Truth is, there alot of good boxers in the US. Some you may not have heard of. I can think of a older boxer right now that is not well known but will absolutely demolish Tyson Fury via KO. If you want to learn about him look up Amir Mansour.

Haye wins this fight easily and by KO, probably early in the fight. Haye’s in great shape, has very good boxing skills, great power, and superior speed. Fury isn’t a boxer, he’s a big man and like Valuev relies on his size rather skills or athleticism to win. I’m looking forward to this so that we don’t have to see Tyson Fury articles anymore.

He`ll probably feel him out in the first round, and turn the lights off in the second.

I`m not even sure Haye would need to train for this one.
He could just be sitting around watching celebrity apprentice knocking one out, when Booth knocks on the door and says “David, come out here and starch Fury”.

Box smart, you’re full of it. Fury wouldn’t eat Pulev and he’s gonna get KO’D by David Haye.

fury dodges any real threats. zero percent chance he’ll face haye either. he will just fight no chancers until one of the klitschko’s annihilates him.

No One Likes You Fury

Hahaha Fury the fraud knows he is outgunned whichever way he goes so is taking the biggest money option. At last we won’t need to hear anymore about this over hyped, uncoordinated, china chinned, powder puff, dufus.
